  1. Midlands thread is getting ridiculous! so many completely off topic posts! is it moderated at all? half the posts do not belong in there surely will not have to put virtually every member on ignore
  2. bbc temps often overdone, that's moe of an April map, with temps 6C but dropping in showers, max of 6C late Jan = rain, so something wrong
  3. meteociel is always faster, noticed since GFS upgrade, netweather charts even slower
  4. 06Z still looking crap, rain for most areas friday
  5. so am i fed up to the teeth! even in the regional threads, it should not be in regional threads/model thread, anywhere but the world weather part of the forum
  6. Well Stockport area look like getting 15cms plus, Wed night through thursday, before a thaw sets in Friday, the main cold looks like arriving Sat night, but this is FI
  7. disagree with that, North Midlands looks very wet on Friday not dry
  8. 18Z not much change, turns very cold Saturday night, milder on fri and Sat with rain hoping for cheshire Gap flow on Sunday, as uppers are good
  9. this is the best setup though, just thurs mind, I expect a thaw Friday, yeah they even missed out on boxing day
  10. not a dig, but what is this doing in here? it's the midlands weather discussion! there is a thread for weather around the world
  11. Ay Stockport 20cms again Tue 5th Jan, at least I had some that day though, around 6cms
  12. a chance yes, but turns milder in all areas of the Midlands Friday, before hopefully cold again sunday
  13. Stockport are in for an absolute snowfest! told someone I know today, that their relatives are going to get a massive snowfest, meaning schools closed thursday
  14. 12Z GFS improved the cold, but not necessarily the snow, stays very cold after the 'northerly' with high pressure through whole run
  15. Andy is right, anything oin fri and sat will fall as rain, Wed and thur winds too westerly for cheshire Gap effect
  16. no it wasn't, but now early Feb is looking mild, was looking much better yesterday, it will be westerlies from Mon 2nd
  17. can see the pattern flattening out on Mon 2nd Feb, GFS dosent look too bad with mostly dry high pressure from Feb 2nd, but feel it's underdoing the zonal flow, expect on todays GFS runs for zonal low pressure to dominate (in a mild position) around Tue 3 Feb
  18. yes, it does look mostly rain fri and sat, need a ukmo setup, GFS better in FI for next sun and mon
  19. little bit better on friday, low is not as deep/less windy, so should be colder, uppers also a wee bit better
  20. Right 18Z, i wanna see a clean NW'ly, not the low close to the UK bringing rain, as shown on GFS 12Z and ECM, hopefully UKMO has this right
  21. absolute scatter cushion! going to get ppl I know believing it
  22. IDO by any chance? he is on my I.L so I wouldnt know
  23. All part of it really, we need upgrades really, because 850's are not the best, Wed night coldest 850's when it's dry
