Yeah it's not looking good for Friday sadly, but we might have a chance of some decent snow on Saturday. Into next week, most of the models have the block to our East collapsing with the Jet Stream pushing lows over the top of it. From there it's a long way back to cold, so Saturday could be our last chance. -

Looking good at the moment mate. ECM, GEM and UKV currently on board. Even the met office app says yes, although wouldn't take that too literally at the moment.

Same here, very odd! Would love it to be correct, but would be very surprised if it was too!

Historically, the GFS always struggle to model the Atlantic against a block over the UK, it often doesn't get it nailed till 24-48 hours before the event. What is interesting though is there is beginning to be a consensus that the cold will last beyond this week, and the Atlantic will keep trying to win bringing repeating risks of snow to our area as it does so!

Really like the look of this, could be a repeat of what happened last Sunday where the models trended North at the last minute

GEM still going for a snowy interlude Thursday It also brings some snow in on Tuesday to S Wales. GFS back to being too progressive as it loves to do, but the models won’t have this correct till Tuesday at the earliest.
