  1. Yeah it's not looking good for Friday sadly, but we might have a chance of some decent snow on Saturday. Into next week, most of the models have the block to our East collapsing with the Jet Stream pushing lows over the top of it. From there it's a long way back to cold, so Saturday could be our last chance.
  2. UKV for Thursday night (S Wales 2-4cm) - (Pembrokeshire 10cm) . . UKV Saturday - rain to South West and on land below 100m, 5-10cm elsewhere: . .
  3. UKV for Thursday - 2/3 cm widely, but light and patchy: . . Saturday more widespread: . .
  4. Should be out in the next 20 minutes. Possibly the last chance to save Thursday's event because all models have been poor for us this afternoon.
  5. Fingers crossed for you! It should be overnight Thursday into Friday, so you should be ok
  6. Looking good at the moment mate. ECM, GEM and UKV currently on board. Even the met office app says yes, although wouldn't take that too literally at the moment.
  7. Same here, very odd! Would love it to be correct, but would be very surprised if it was too!
  8. Historically, the GFS always struggle to model the Atlantic against a block over the UK, it often doesn't get it nailed till 24-48 hours before the event. What is interesting though is there is beginning to be a consensus that the cold will last beyond this week, and the Atlantic will keep trying to win bringing repeating risks of snow to our area as it does so!
  9. UKV Extended looking cracking this morning too, a few exciting days of model watching to go! . . .
  10. Still in the game for Thurs/Friday going by the ECM: . . By the middle of next week, we really are in Boom Town
  11. Disappointing from the GFS and ECM tonight for Thursday + Friday. Here's tonight's UKV Extended which looks promising though
  12. Few flakes in the breeze here and it's bitter! Here's the latest ICON for Thurs/Friday
  13. Icon looks good too: They tend to put warnings up 2 days before so maybe on Tuesday! Sorry to hear about your Mum's dog, hopefully the op goes well for her
  14. UKV extended has Thursday's event in range for the first time this morning, and it's a good start! It brings snow for most of the day to South and West Wales: . .
  15. Here's the latest UKV for the next 24 hours. Shows some good snow for East/Mid Wales
  16. Really like the look of this, could be a repeat of what happened last Sunday where the models trended North at the last minute
  17. GEM still going for a snowy interlude Thursday It also brings some snow in on Tuesday to S Wales. GFS back to being too progressive as it loves to do, but the models won’t have this correct till Tuesday at the earliest.
