  1. Of course. The screenshots you sent were to demonstrate not cold over the uk and the cold spell not set in. Therefore it’s important to see why via the nhp. I’ll repeat what I said earlier. There are very few gefs that resemble the nhp of the ecm at day 10. I didn’t say a number of the gefs had higher 850’s. The point being that I didn’t have much faith in T240 nhp of the ecm.
  2. How do we get any cold in without a nhp that is in favour of delivering it?
  3. Thanks for all of those. I said similar to the nhp. Try again.
  4. There’s maybe 2 gefs that resemble the ecm nhp. now if ecm was showing awesome cold and only two gefs did, would you believe it? fustrating as it is.
  5. Someone chuck a bucket of water over northwestsnow and bring him round.
  6. Southerners will be keeping an eye on the line in the channel.
  7. I think it can be for someone’s confidence in direction of travel and to settle their nerves.
  8. Yes, strong confidence in the ridge. How strong and where will it go? Maybe not quite so.
  9. Let’s see where ecm sits but I would suggest these are beyond the reliable. Not the overall nhp but what any detail will be.
  10. T240 gem is miles out. I’d be fairly sure ukmo wouldn’t be as gem at T240 but we will never know.
  11. Going to be a lot of ifs, could’s and maybe’s when you are posting a forecast. Good luck, glad I haven’t got to do one on micro level.
  12. And this part of the modelling is going to take awhile and once in place we will be watching it with interest as this will impact the lows approaching. Clearly met don’t know and nor will we until probably 12-24 hours out.
  13. I think this is the time where the hurdle needs clearing. Gfs could clear two hurdles on top of each other.
  14. This may give us more of an idea where ukmo would have gone?
