Anyone going sledging today then? I'll be heading out this afternoon for a walk then sledging got to be done.
Yes. Got 2 plastic sledges here. Going to head out in a bit. It seems lethal in places, there's a really icy crunch to it.

Hopefully they will flip back in a little while. Emma looks like she still has so much to give.

Ice pellets here in Cardiff, might even say it's rain that's freezing upon contact
Looks like rain falling and turning straight into ice pellets. And the sky is so orange.

Anyone else hear that? Potential THUNDERSNOW hitting Cardiff now. Heaviest all day.
Thundersnow? I'll pee my pants with excitement.

It's amazing, no melting at all just waiting for the main course the sirloin steak and trimmings maybe some lobster.
Just as long as it covers my big bald patch! LOL

I'm used to my snow melting away, but not blowing away. I have a big bald patch in the middle of my garden.

It was - 5.1 in Cardiff at 10pm, will be interesting to see how much further the temperature has dropped and how low it goes.

It feels like the night before Christmas as a child. When you still believed in Father Christmas and you were excited, but also nervous incase you were on the naughty list and he didn't come.

When I try to access weather map and warnings on Meto, it says that they have pulled the map pages because of high usage. Am just trying to find where, on a proper map, the amorphous amber blob covers, as they no longer bother to put counties on, just ‘big’ places. Can anyone help? I am Glyn Ceiriog, which Meto persist in thinking is in Llangollen (4miles away. over a girt steep, set of hills).
Keep refreshing. It shows you eventually. ?

i think Euro4 perhaps underestimating snow out west still. Either way don’t forget, anything that falls will stick and accumulate fast.
I was just looking at the net weather forecast for us. The precipitation is up a lot. Torrential snow for Cardiff between 9pm and midnight tomorrow. Let's hope it stays like that.

And the sledges have arrived. I'm ready.

Yipppeeeeee! School is closed tomorrow.

I'm hearing cardiff Council are advising schools to close tomorrow. Really hoping our school listens to the advice and we get a full snow day.
-
It's colder thn forecast too. We were due to get up to 1c between 12 and 1 today, and 0c between 9 and 12, it's still -1.2.

Surprised to see tumbleweed blowing through the MOD thread today. They must all be out enjoying their snow. I think it's the quietest i've ever known it.

Good to see us moving up the matrix with a higher possibility of this coming off. It's going to be a nail biting 24 hours waiting for Emma to arrive.

The drift out my garden was past my daughter's knees.
The drift in the street past other daughter's knees.
And this is Ferry Rd, Cardiff. Main Rd and no traffic, they never managed to keep it clear.
