Pembrokeshire has missed out totally I think. It's bitterly cold but pretty blue skies still.

Cardiff did too. There was a little sleety rain after midnight and that was our lot.

I have the no snow blues today.

  2. I was just having a read in the SW forum and Fergie posted. People were disheartened and he said he was just out of a conference and not to judge the situation too early. Sounds like the MO expect the real stuff to arrive a little later.

Does my head in lol, surely it all can't miss us!

    It can't. Positive thinking.

This is just the first batch I'm sure/hope there'll be more later in the night. Not sure I can keep watching the radar though, it's such a rollercoaster. Lol

  4. Although the outside temp is dropping my dewpoint is rising and giving me a mini panic. Every year I swear I'm not getting caught up in all this excitement and nervous waiting again, but when the time comes it's just irresistible.

I watch 2 local weather stations, one in Bute Park and the other at Cardiff Bay Barrage. I kind of live between the 2. Despite the closeness of the stations they vary by a few degrees. I never know which one I should stick to and believe.

Come on precipitation, plough down to us. Please.

  5. Met Office has only issued a yellow warning of snow, the actual hour to hour forecast is just showing a small amount of sleet. I just watched ITV weather and there was definitely a few white blobs over Cardiff.

They rarely forecast our snow accurately, so hopefully we'll see something overnight into the morning.

  6. I remember the snow event of '82! Never since have I seen snow quite like it here in Cardiff. My sister got married in it and all the neighbours had to dig a path to the main road for the car to pick her up. :)

It's feeling much colder here today, precipitation that fell this morning was rain. I was really hoping it may have been sleet. We got down to 1.8c just before the rain hit. Come on cold spell, dig in a little deeper.

I know we're not really forecast anything, but snow does have a habit of arriving unexpectedly. I still have everything crossed for some white flakes before the weekend.
