For me, storms are the best part of Summer. I'm not a fan of sun and warmth, give me rain anyday and if it has added bangs and pretty lights then all the better.

A much much cooler day today. Some rain, but no storms for me.

I keep blinds and curtains shut all day to stop the sun from heating things up more.
A frozen hot water bottle is so good, but I never remember to freeze one on time.
I tend to have the fan on constantly and when it gets too unbearable, I spray my face, legs and arms with cold water before sitting directly in front of the fan.
If all above fail, empty chest freezer and climb in!

It hit 28.2c in Cardiff yesterday and hit 27.5c today. It's way too hot for a cold lover like me. I was hoping we would benefit from some storms, no luck as yet. A few spots of rain, but barely enough to wet the ground.

I'm radar watching like a loon today. Wish those heavy showers would hurry up and head to Cardiff.

Yay! A bit of rain today. That's cheered me up.
How's the cold spell looking for the end of the month? Is it likely/unlikely? I'd love it to change suddenly and for feet of snow to drop from the sky, but wouldn't we all?

It was very foggy early this morning. I had a shock when we went outside too, pavements were really icy and slippery.

My accuweather app is showing snow early hours for Cardiff. Although unlikely, I'm hoping that band manages to at least graze us and drop some white gold.

Maybe something for the east and southeast of Wales coming towards us? If it holds it's intensity should give a dusting.
I do hope it has the legs to reach us. A dusting would do me for now.

There appears to be more ppn around today than there has been over the weekend. I hope someone gets a nice surprise.

Please no Spring yet. It's way too early for my liking, the Spring and Summer months are endless these days. I hate the light mornings and light nights, sunshine puts me in such a bad mood. Give me rain, clouds, cold, storms, anything except warm sun please. 😊

Nothing is getting far enough east to hit Cardiff. Bone dry here.

Feels much colder tonight, clear skies, tidy frost. Hoping we may get some ppn throughout the night. Please weather gods, just a sprinkling will do.

I think the hunt for snow sends the lot of us demented. It's such a rollercoaster. Excitement, disappointment, excitement again. It can be so frustrating at times. Unfortunately we can't control the weather and it will do what the hell it likes, but we can hope and hope we do.

A very cold airmass will continue to spread southwards from Scotland and Northern Ireland across the remainder of the UK on Sunday accompanied by strong winds. Frequent showers are likely to form in this airmass, primarily affecting northern parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland but also running along eastern and western coastal districts of England and Wales at times. With the cold air snow is likely to accumulate even to low levels wherever showers affect. Periods of enhanced snowfall are possible within this general flow, but details of these are very uncertain at this time. As such this Alert is likely to be updated and refined in the coming days. It actually snowed in Cardiff!!!

I had a wasps nest for the first time ever this Summer. I was totally fascinated by the detail of it. Amazing construction!
