If I see 20 flakes of snow I will be deliriously happy. For a minute anyway , I could say I was there in the blizzard of 2024 . I might be slightly exaggerating.

I think I am having my own little bit of a wobble this morning. GFS not as good for the south with more encroachment from higher uppers . There is a rain to snow event in the south on the GFS control. ECM slightly better than last night's and Gem seems good .
Mogreps not looking quite so pronounced but still looking broadly supportive still but I noticed not all supportive of cold clearing the south coast . Still in the game and will remain positive that this is still well up for grabs .

Lovely, even as early as 96 could see the improvement, not sure why ECM seems to be lagging behind all the other models at the moment
Don't say that yet , Ppppplleeeasssseee . Let the run finish first.

It's looking good for the SE. Looking at various outputs it seems like the wind is going to be NE at first which will help east/mid/north Kent and parts of EA but then it shifts more to NEE/E which moves precip from those areas to western kent/London region including possibly essex/Suffolk coastal areas.
Met Office don't seem too bothered by it but a lot of us have years of locals experience in this set up and have had snow when none was forecast.
Maybe there will be some melt and only highest regions will get some covering but still would have expected a low impact/low likelihood yellow. They're the experts though so what do I know lol.
Fun times. Good luck to everyone in the SE.
We can add Gem to the list .

Definitely a downgrade
Not the way I see it . Upgrade IMO. Perhaps heavy rain in parts of the south sounds restricted in nature to me .

Some interest on the Ukmo snow wise . Something for the southeast then Isle of wight and some more general showers around the midlands and ending up in wales .
