Just to be grounded, there is a chance this is on the cold side of the ENS, but great to see nonetheless
Hopefully a warm outlier

Not trying to pre empt anything but having seen so many cold spells predicted and the UKMO doesn't join . Then it all falls apart. For me to see UKMO this time showing some promise is a bit comforting for now . Another 50mins to see if that continues , fingers and everything else crossed .

UKMO is a beauty this morning..I feared it might be an outlier last night but when this model repeats it definitely has merit, and it's pretty much repeated itself this morning..
To many toys thrown out of the pram last night. looking forward to this cold spell, snow or not it will be nice to see ice and frozen surfaces .

Comparing mogreps yesterdays 12z with todays . London being the example. More scatter to me . Still trending colder though.

Or the GEM control?
Nah still prefer Navgem , seriously though you must be encouraged with mogreps tonight. For once we are at least in the lottery with a ticket.

Impressive cold signal from GEFS the mean has 850hPa of temps of -6C by 9th in London, for over 10 days that is something of note. It would only likely trend colder the closer we get.
Wow that really is stark and very encouraging.

Oh no. just signed in to see how the models went today after a busy day at work, retail is a bugger this week .
The best I could find is this JMA chart on boxing day.
Morgreps has also flipped , although a couple of stragglers remain.
Anyway a typical green xmas looks to transpire for most, hopefully I am wrong on that.
On to the next chase , it's still early doors and we go again.

Some very mild Christmas runs on the mogreps 12z run, even oop north.
Two quite distinct clusters there .

‘Decent run from ECM’?
Please explain, because it really doesn’t look like one when you look at it on WetterZ .
One thing I have realised this afternoon is how much better Meteociel is than Wetterz. Anyhow I see the Mighty Navgem is now leading the way , always loved this model .
KMA is apparently the UKMOs friend and looks ok for the big day for some .
