Really must stop watching the BBC forecasts, I'm always left feeling a bit deflated . Paul Hudson showed just cloud symbols for Sheffield for Monday and Tuesday. I know I shouldn't take it too literally but after seeing the potential for plenty of snow next week, it's frustrating.

Yeh, I'm not looking at snow forecast now. Like you everything I'm seeing seems to be either north of the Humber or South of the Humber just avoiding North Lincolnshire

I know that we should take snow amounts and forecast with a pinch of salt but you still can't help but think we will miss out. Especially as I've made the stupid error of telling family to prepare fir snow ❄

  2. Looking at the bigger picture on the radar maps you can see that the area of water between our region compared to the North East has less sea for these showers to travel over

This may explain what the intensity of the showers up north have been so heavy and persistent or I may just be talking a load of mooooopooo

@Steve Murr nice to hear your snow totals. What do you think about that big organised area of snow on that link in the quote text, developing in the north sea. Is yorkshire the sweet spot would you imagine?

Looking at that I would say South Lincs and the wash

Would love to include North Lincolnshire but that's probably a step tooooo  North
