  1. Do we have a part two to come? First lots moved off. I sense more coming.
  2. Not seen this since I moved here ten years ago. Last time would be when I was a child in Birmingham during the 90s.
  3. Incredible light show. Just a shame the early views of the fork lightning disappeared. That cell seemed to roll in very quickly almost like it formed over us.

  5. Really ramping up, some superb CG strikes in the distance. Winds are mental too.

  7. To be fair I was lying in bed north facing so didn't realise. I'm on Norton Heights and can see over to Burslem and it's impressive now.
  8. First flashes can be seen now on the horizon presumably from the Shropshire cell.
  9. About as warm as it gets for a British evening up here, even the breeze is warm still! Hoping for an overnight boom, but must retreat from the garden to bed. Most of the neighbours are still sitting out in there gardens!
  10. Few spots of rain and very dark but very humid. The sort of rain feel you get in a tropical climate.
  11. Hoping to see 30c at some point this week. And maybe a storm.
  12. Was still quite warm in direct sun today, the breeze was quite strong but not cold which helped it be an enjoyable afternoon for walking (yesterday was a bit sweaty for it!).
  13. Gone cloudy here now, still humid but frustrating that it has clouded over so soon.
  14. Let's hope for a few 30s across the region today. Extra special being a Saturday and the BBQs will be out in force
  15. I take back my comments yesterday, it's been blue sky and no clouds all day long! Except the brisk breeze is a little cool, but was nice for walking this evening.
  16. I saw a glimpse of light about 9pm but then it went. Tuesday night was hideously dark which is a shame as these are our longest light evenings. I don't see this lifting tomorrow but still. Can hope for Saturday to be at least one nice day.
  17. A glimpse of a blue sky this evening, after heavy pouring rain this morning. It does at least feel less raw tonight.
  18. There was a tiny bit of blue sky just now across Stoke but it's replaced with a dark cloud again. Unbelievable with these long days too.
  19. It is indeed the third time with over 24 hours of rain. It has been a rubbish couple of months here in Stoke really. Very little warmth to get excited about. I have had one BBQ this year, probably had about 10 by this time last year.
  20. Was a lovely light show for about 30 minutes. Came over Leek and then fizzled out but was some of the best lightning in some time.
  21. Just come from the cinema and it is still raining. Surprisingly little in the way of surface water flooding which perhaps shows how little rain we have had recently.
  22. Yep whole of Cheshire and North Staffs has just been fed all day long. Just walked the dog and it's even worse than earlier. Would love to know the totals, been a long time since I remember a day like today. The wind is still gusting too and is freezing
  23. And still it pours. Stoke really has been under the band for the last 24 hours. Shame it never does this in snow! Radar was meant to ease by 5pm but now shows heavier rain out till at least 9pm
  24. Yes particulary soggy today though those thundery heavy showers the past few days didn't do much to impact the ground as it was still rock hard where mud usually is. After today maybe not.
