Incredible light show. Just a shame the early views of the fork lightning disappeared. That cell seemed to roll in very quickly almost like it formed over us.
About as warm as it gets for a British evening up here, even the breeze is warm still! Hoping for an overnight boom, but must retreat from the garden to bed. Most of the neighbours are still sitting out in there gardens!
Was still quite warm in direct sun today, the breeze was quite strong but not cold which helped it be an enjoyable afternoon for walking (yesterday was a bit sweaty for it!).
I take back my comments yesterday, it's been blue sky and no clouds all day long! Except the brisk breeze is a little cool, but was nice for walking this evening.
I saw a glimpse of light about 9pm but then it went. Tuesday night was hideously dark which is a shame as these are our longest light evenings. I don't see this lifting tomorrow but still. Can hope for Saturday to be at least one nice day.
It is indeed the third time with over 24 hours of rain. It has been a rubbish couple of months here in Stoke really. Very little warmth to get excited about. I have had one BBQ this year, probably had about 10 by this time last year.
Just come from the cinema and it is still raining. Surprisingly little in the way of surface water flooding which perhaps shows how little rain we have had recently.
Yep whole of Cheshire and North Staffs has just been fed all day long. Just walked the dog and it's even worse than earlier. Would love to know the totals, been a long time since I remember a day like today. The wind is still gusting too and is freezing
And still it pours. Stoke really has been under the band for the last 24 hours. Shame it never does this in snow! Radar was meant to ease by 5pm but now shows heavier rain out till at least 9pm
Yes particulary soggy today though those thundery heavy showers the past few days didn't do much to impact the ground as it was still rock hard where mud usually is. After today maybe not.
