  1. It is amazing. The sunsets and moon rise have been spectacular. You can see all the planes at high level too. Cloudless days are rare round here, usually a few times a year I would say but we have had three back to back days now and more in site. And the low humidity is making it perfect for even those who hate the sticky sunshine usually. One issue tonight was the massive influx of horseflies and gnats. Was eaten alive on the dog walk. I went to Mexico and stayed at a hotel next to the jungle and had less bites.
  2. Take that back, its sunny again now.
  3. Just seems to be drifting in across the west of Birmingham now too. Shame.
  4. Dare I say the low humidity feels odd as recent years we seem to get the blowtorch setup with hazy skies and the humid feel. It did feel chilly this morning too. Perfect evening though.
  5. Yeah what happened today? Muggy but windy and cloudy. Forecast for rest of week looks changeable now too.
  6. Didn't realise it was due to rain overnight, as hung the washing out last night and now it is soaked! At least garden got a watering, and seems good for later now?
  7. Stunning from start to finish today, first morning in a while without the grey murk. Been walking in the fields and they are very dusty. But in the wooded areas, not even the deepest mud patches have dried out yet.
  8. Sun is out now and feels humid again. Wasn't expecting to see it this afternoon, so looks like another good evening on the cards.
  9. Yet the Premium service works fine!
  10. Back from my road trip to higher ground. Some good views but the frequency of thunder and lightning is a bit poor. Seems to have weakened somewhat. Minor road flooding, but nothing special.
  11. Im heading to Brown Edge to see the view from the tops across Stoke. Looking forward to seeing some action!
  12. First close rumble just fired up. Think I'm heading to higher ground to watch this roll in.
  13. I feel like the storm is getting closer but then I see the radar returns and it fizzling out.
  14. Yep, just heard something louder so far. Radar shows rain here around 9pm, but looks weaker than what is over Birmingham now.
  15. Plenty of flash flooding in prone areas of Birmingham it seems. Usual spots of Selly Oak, Northfield, Harbourne etc.
  16. Agreed with this, its been a great few months even with that dull weather producing one of the most depressing weeks of weather I can remember. If it continues in this manner 2018 will be a great year!
  17. Very distant boom, like a low rumble but only occasionally. That must be the ones by Cannock. Temp and humidity feels a bit fresher now though.
  18. Yep I can see the storm clouds too but just too far south. Also the sun has gone in annoyingly.
  19. Skirting Stoke again, despite the fact it looks stormy here. Very humid too.
  20. Isn't that thunderstorms rather than a front though? Those pop up so locally.
  21. Incredible change today, as I drove from work, it was around 16c and cloudy gunk until Stafford when it turned into 23c and sunshine. Not a drop of rain at all. I think the front will make it tomorrow sadly. How many days straight has it been sunny as I was in Mexico and Ireland prior to Sunday?
  22. Murky and even a spot of rain in Birmingham. Be interesting to see if the front makes it as far north as Stoke today.
  23. Gone very humid with a temp of 25C and the sun disappearing behind dark skies. Ripe for a storm it seems.
  24. Stunning day, not a cloud in sight. Warm but not over the top, around 20c.
  25. Thought it was just a shower risk or is it more significant?
