It's snowing here in St. Ives at the mo
-
I see something white in the sky , oh, hang on, stars ...
-
Hello everyone first post been lurking for years so thought it was time to join in
huntingdon has been so unlucky with only a slight covering when TEITS and other parts of cambs have done so well
but heres hoping things get better for us later in the week and that it stays cold enough
Welcome Chestnuts , nice to see a local contingent ...
-
Cambridge is near the centre of Cambs, a bit further south than the centre
Sorry, I didn't see Cambridge! I drive there often - bless Stagecoach In The Fens
-
I would be amazed if that band could reach my part of Cambridgeshire!
Where in Cambs are you?
-
Afternoon folks ,
I'm watching the band approaching quite rapidly too TEITS, hopefully things will work out well again .
-
Morning from a crisp, white St. Ives :o,
Everywhere around here looks lovely, although the large grassy area in front of the houses has been 'decorated' with large phallic symbols - ooerr Matron
-
Just had a sleety / snow shower here, clearly visible on the NWExtra radar...
-
Aghhhhhh ahhhhh ahhhh, it's gonna snow Butler!
LOLOL!
-
Morning everyone,
Carol Kirkwood's forecast was worth watching this morning . I've just been asked by my controller if I'll do a late shift on the buses tonight - could be interesting .
-
Quite a bit coming down through Cambs according to the radar, which if I'm lucky will make a direct hit.
COMON INDEED!!!!
There's no snow falling here in St. Ives, only rain...
-
Morning all,
Even though the NWExtra radar shows us as being under snow, it is raining here.
Can anyone please elaborate why the different areas of precipitation are shown with each different colour having a large square effect?
Very Best Wishes,
Bob.
-
slight dusting of snow in Soham just east of Cambridge that fronts taking ages to move down from the north!!
-4.6 outside brrrrr white everywhere u look
Ditto, light snow here in St. Ives earlier too...
-
No it's not just you - he grates on me too. Typical N American, way OTT, "woohoo" kind of chap.
If anyone drives me into a vortex like that in April/May, I might be a bit way OTT, "wtf" kind of chap - there'll be blood also! lol... they say a chaser hasn't been killed in 30ish years of chasing....Timmer could well be the first! Nuts!
My wife calls him Reed Dimmer... with good cause I say...

Afternoon folks, and folkesses ,
Some nice beefy showers passing through here, at the mo it's persisting it down
-
It's still persisting it down here B)
-
Afternoon folks ,
I'm hoping that the storm-line currently to my west moves east, I can see the dark skies to my west, but I'll be driving my bus from St. Ives to Cambridge, not getting back to St. Ives until gone midnight...
-
Im so jealous, wish I was in the East today. Stupid Welsh weather always lets me down
Don't fret, there's nowt happening here yet!
-
Morning everyone,
I hope to see some thundery activity today.
Whilst driving my bus last evening and night ( a 0:24am finish ), I saw no lightning at all, nor rain, but I did see some wonderful lines of anvils off to the south east of Cambridge .
Very Best Wishes,
Bob.
-
Hello,
We've had a brief, moderate shower here which has left everything nice and wet.
It doesn't feel much better for it though. The showers do appear to be heading away in an NE direction.
Very Best Wishes,
Bob.
-
Nothing but light rain here in the end, how typical.
At least you've had 'something', we've missed out full stop!
There'll be plenty of other times to look forward to
-
I'm hoping that West Anglia might see action too  , it's been bloomin' hot and oppresive bus driving the past few days  .
-
Very warm and humid here all ready with hazy blue skys.
Shall be watching radar today to see if we could get our first thunderstorm. just maybe
Is that a certain Mr. Angwin as your avatar image?
-
I wish an expert would explain to me why south of Cambridgeshire is getting thunderstorms and all the Midlands is getting are heavy showers. It's no wonder I moan when something like this happens, it's a question of, why them and not us?
A week ago, when there was all the widespread storms, and funnels in Suffolk, we saw not one storm, and had not one rumble of thunder... the weather does what it sees fit...
