  1. Front starting to weaken now, not a bad fall, roughly 3 inches has fallen.
  2. Still very light here, may be in the centre of the depression.
  3. Still gentle light flurries here, nothing substantial.
  4. May get interesting this evening,, light grainy snow falling - temp down to 0.1C now
  5. Completely stopped here (N. Wolves) now, may start again in an hour or so.
  6. Also the radar may be reading the precip from a slight southerly angle, not from directly above, just a theory.
  7. Very light precipitation rarely shows on radars, that's probably why.
  8. That's it now here over north Wolves, just a little fine grainy snow falling now, temp also creeping up - 0.7C now, dripping will commence soon.
  9. Looking narrower synced it hit the welsh hills, won't be 10" here!, maybe 2-4. Also next weekend looking interesting.
  10. Those apps are a complete waste of time - example, Telford just has a few light showers forecast between 9am and 12 midday but Wolverhampton has - yes, light snow, but from 7am till 3pm but the two towns/cities are a mere 20 miles apart and almost due west and east of each other.
  11. Too difficult and complex to forecast, best to window watch - it's the UK remember, for the sake of 50 miles or so who knows when, where, what and how much you'll get.
  12. Had 20 minute heavy snowfall an hour ago, settled briefly, sun is out now & can hear drips galore, will be nice and icy later.
  13. Not much likely to fall here, just some extra cloud cover, running out juice, thanks to the welsh hills.
  14. That dreaded phrase "Mild" may well be entering the forecast shortly.
  15. Two days ago temps were set to hit 13 plus C and now they're set to drop back down. Would love to see a decent fall so lets see how things look by the middle of next week - i hope these charts come something close to fruition.
  16. Still over a weeks time (28 plus runs) from that particular model, 3 to 4 days seems to be to the maximum length time span to forecast with any degree of accuracy.
  17. Just cannot see the optimism with some members on the main site, where first threat of "possible" widespread frontal snowfall cannot be seen for nigh on 15 days time.
  18. We have min temps of -3/-4C around every year, it's just that when any forecasted snowfall event or any severe weather for that matter comes into the realistic timeframe it's all but faded into a standard weather event.
  19. Starting to look like a box-standard UK winter again, so not really worth chasing a few flakes of snow falling especially locally.
