Expecting flurries, mainly light but possibly quite persistent.

Might be an idea to download & watch that disaster of a disaster movie "Apocalypse of Ice" with all this talk of snow and ice on the main subject matter.

Very cold for 4/5 days, yes, but with straight easterly winds, forget any heavy falls of snow.

Seems to me a few need to cut back on the old G & T's, looking beyond 3 days and estimating depths of snowfall is a little premature. -
Got a suspicion it'll be fairly persistent but mainly light here - further west.

Looking like a 4/5 day burst of winter at the moment - judging by the look of the latest chart(s), starting Saturday till Thursday, but, still too far ahead for any pinpoint accuracy.

Anyone seen the latest GFS? - not looking too clever again, very touch and go.

SE quadrant of the country not looking great, beyond 3 days looking like any toss of the dice. -
Dare i say it, has turned bright & MILD! here now. Not banking on charts over 3 days away, the UK's weather is just too unpredictable and stressful for many - especially on this forum (not myself!).

Severity will retract every 6 hour run as per usual.

Really have to say now that any significant snowfall just is not going to appear here now, pointless getting over animated over the very slight risk of a couple cm's of slushy wet snow. Nothing has fallen today.

Band of wintry mess looks to be fading slowly now.

Still not 100% here, gusts of wind bring heavier periods, with interludes of lighter falls, no accumulations anywhere. Temp. 1.1C.

Still a mixture here, won't be any need for a ruler - maybe to measure the depth of the puddles.

Can't see this amounting to much today, just something to look out the window at.

Just drifting between sleet and wet snow here, been the same for 30 mins or so, no settling, temp down to 0.4C though.
