  1. Some nice towers behind my house. Don't think they will amount to much for me though. https://forum.netweather.tv/gallery/image/19753-/

  3. Didnt get anything all day here in North Wales. Couldn't see anything out off the coasts either, too much cloud.
  4. Hoping they don't die off before reaching me. I am in the firing line though. Lovely day, warm, bee's are plenty and can hear lawn mowers. A thunderstorm would be a nice end to a nice day.
  5. Indeed, hopefully a taste of the summer to come. I'll take warm days with an evening thunderstorm any day.
  6. An amazing thunderstorm here about 40 minutes ago. Such convective dark skies. Scary skies almost. Here are some pictures and short video clip of a strike. As the storm approaches https://forum.netweather.tv/gallery/image/19696-convective-skies/ Tail end of a good fork https://forum.netweather.tv/gallery/image/19697-storm-hits/ Short cliphttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0S3xOACiXpY&feature=youtu.be

    Storm hits

  8. Thank you! 297 photos stacked in Photoshop to create the star trails. I chose this method over one long exposure due to sensor over heating issues that can occur during very long exposures. Each shot was 15 seconds, F4.0, ISO 320. Lens 24mm and a dim lantern in the tent to get it to "glow".
  9. Hope this doesn't spell bad news for us in terms of more Atlantic depressions.
  10. I've been thoroughly enjoying the spring like weather. It marks the beginning of my camping season where I can star gaze and take some nice star trail photos in comfortable temperatures. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge cold/snow fan and a snowboarder but I'm in my warm/sunny mode now. Tomatoes, chillies & peppers amongst others are planted and some have germinated well in the poly tunnel. I really am hoping for a good spring/summer. Here's what I got a few days ago on my first camp of the season thanks to the nice weather. Taken from the summit of Mynydd Mawr looking over Nantlle ridge. https://forum.netweather.tv/gallery/image/19661-/

    Landscape of Snowdonia

An album which will be updated with photos from the Snowdonia area.
  12. Unconfirmed reports that RAF valley on Anglesey just recorded 105mph. My girlfriend lives there, she has no power.

  14. Aaaaah I was told both bridges were closing, Chinese whispers I tell you. Although they might close, and you could be trapped on the salty Island for the rest of time.
  15. Just got word off my sister who lives in Menai bridge, Britania is closed (A55) and they are making preparations to close the second bridge, so getting onto Anglesey or getting off might not happen until this passes.
  16. Britania bridge (A55) is closing, the college on Anglesey is also closing, you'll have to go over using the Menai bridge, if they dont close that one too.
  17. The colleges, University, schools and one of the bridges over to Anglesey are being closed as we speak. Left it a bit late I reckon.
  18. Cant believe there's a red warning for wind, and I'm right bang in the middle of it. Been out all morning battling the stream that runs under the driveway. Have to keep unblocking it from debris or it flows over and floods the road. Rain stopped now, winds are starting to pick up again, building up to the full force of this red warning. Nothing to photograph as of yet, will keep you posted.
  19. I live in North West Wales, in a village on an exposed hill facing the Irish sea, I'll do my best to do some "now casting" during the storm, providing the power doesn't go off. None the less, I will get pictures/videos and share them here.
  20. Also interesting that the Met Office has decided that it will begin to monitor solar output. Are they on to something?http://www.theguardian.com/news/2013/jul/23/met-office-space-weather-forecasting
  21. An article from the BBC which goes on to talk about how we might be entering a period much like the maunder minimum. Now I'm always cautious when claims like this are made but I am surprised to see it coming from the BBC.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-25743806
