Heavy thunderstorm at 0900 thismorning Brilliant Lightning (CG) and very loud thunder Ground covered in marble sized hail, funnel cloud developed offshore. Lasted about 40 minutes and the best one we have here for ages

A very active trough just passed through Lots of Loud booming thunder and lightning (CG) with the ground covered with huge hailstones. A fantastic storm !!

Since 15th September we have not had one day without rain of varying amounts and intensity and thismorning is certainly no exeption to this. Very heavy squally rain and hail showers, some thunder, and gusts to Storm force 10 1001 mb rising Temp 6 C

Once again we are cut off for the 6th time already this winter, airport closed and ferries tied up!! Gusting to Violent Storm Force 11 with continuous heavy rain, we are expecting Hurricane Force 12 before nightime, any bets on what we will get up to ?? A quick edit to say we've just cracked Hurricane Force 12 Pressure 971 and still falling

Pressure still falling, now down to 976. Wind has dropped back to 50 to 60 mph as the centre of this very intense Low gets nearer to us. Expecting a rapid rise in wind speed as it veers round to Westerly in the early hours. At least the rain has eased off.

Well here we go again for the umpteenth bloody time already this winter with gusts to 65 mph from the south, heavy rain and a severe weather warning for even worse to come,better go and get some milk from the CO-OP as there will be no ferries AGAIN tommorrow
