A sky full of January type Cu Nimbus with hugh curtains of hail and sleet falling into the ocean Temp 6 degrees with a light Westerly wind 10 mph

At last, I don't believe it, we have a westerly, a very rare occurence up here these days !! Lovely sunny morning after a fairly active trough went through in the early hours Temp a sizzling 8 C with vis over 50km, and a large row of Cu Nimbs advancing from the Atlantic.

Winter is back (as if it ever left us up here!!) Sleet and hail showers with a biting northerly wind Fresh snow on the mountains down to about 500 feet bbbrrrrrrrr

Another gorgeous day in the North West, long may it continue !! Clear blue sky, vis over 30km Temp 9 C Press 1023 rising Wind NE 18 mph we actually had a couple of sleet showers thismorning !!

We had some fantastic thunderstorm activity up here last night with lots of lightning and loud crashes of thunder, it was amazing to see direct strikes into the Atlantic. very unusual for the Hebrides !!

Maybe not quite in the same class as the ones that the boys are seeing in Texas, but we had some pretty spectacular thunderstorm activity up here last night, which is quuite unusual for the Western Isles. A nice morning, scattered cumulus, wind South 35 mph, Temp 10 C, vis 20 km

Very wild and wet Gusting to violent storm force 11 (69mph) from the SW lashing rain pressure 1002 falling rapidly temp 8.9 C can't see the ocean for spray its certainly not muggy here !!

Still blowing a gale with some very beefy showers the ocean is just a sheet of white spray. Temp 9 C, looks like a nice dose of storm force winds again tomorrow !
