Morning everyone This must be our most stormy Autumn for a long time up here in the Western Isles Wind at present gusting to 54 mph from the SW and we are expecting Violent Storm Force 11 later. Heavy Rain Pressure 1010 and falling rapidly If you all could see the Atlantic thismorning you would really appreciate the force of nature.

We have just had a hail AND SNOW, YES SNOW shower Temperature plunged to 4 C in the shower Wind still gusting to Storm 10 (60 mph) and tremendous waves on the Atlantic

A wild night with the highest gust of 72 mph and we are stormbound with no ferries or planes. The north wind doth blow and we will have snow. Temp 7 C Pressure 1005 mb and rising, Wintry Showers with hail.

A very wet and wild night in the Hebrides! Autumn usually lasts for about 3 days up here and this year is no exception. Wind Westerly gusting to Severe Gale Force 9 (48 mph) Heavy Rain Showers Temp 11 C Press 996 mb rising Ocean state - rough !! at least its blown the bloody midges away

A lovely sunny day with nice mountain wave clouds (altocumulus lenticularis) forming over the Harris mountains. Temp 17 C Press 1011 falling Wind SSW 15 knots Vis over 30 km Just what we needed after a miserable week.

Bright and clear, some cirrus in the east moving away. 1011mb rising Temp 8 C Vis in excess of 40km and no midges!!

Thought the clearance had arrived from the west about an hour ago, but looks like everything is moving back from the east again just now. Cloudy, Drizzle, calm after a 45mph gale overnight, and of course those bloody MIDGES are out again!
