  1. Could be a bit messy late morning early afternoon tomorrow. Warning smay be updated in the morning but may be a bit late by then. But as you say Badger, who knows!!? Kind of lost faith in forecasts and forecasters recently, even very short range.
  2. Well if its wet I dare say there is a Wetherspoons for them to take shelter in. They like a Wetherspoons that lot.
  3. So are the Met warnings for wind down here? I don't bother looking at their site since they obviously let a 12 year old redesign it. Rubbish site now. 12c here now and sunny. Not 'wet windy wintry' as the headline on this site depicts. Hope this lot aren't going down the sensational route!?
  4. Sunny and 7.2c just now @TomSE12 you got me all excited with your talk of kinky isobars.
  5. Well if they are not sure what's going to happen this weekend weatherwise, 36/48 hours out, forecasting really has come a long way hasnt it. Not!
  6. Agree with all of the above. And this idea that giving a storm a name is going to make folk more aware or cautious is nonsense. Only gives rags like the Express more scope for sensational headlines. Ridiculous system. .
  7. Looks like some pretty lively weather about to hit the capital from the NW very soon. Sunny spells and Windy now but will be changing very shortly I expect. Proper weather.
  8. True. Some seriously strong gusts of wind in South London at the moment. Much stronger than the other night.
  9. Big showers passing through now. Has got considerably colder in the last few hours too. Certainly fresher than last week.
  10. 3.4mm of rain last night. Decent downpours. Feels very mild out this morning. 10.6c. Heavy showers later. Smells very fresh though, springlike.
  11. Certainly looking lively over the next week to 10 days.Next load of rain gathering to the south west. 11.8c just now in the capital. Looks like we could get a good dose of spring rain in the near term. Much needed.
  12. Light breeze and drizzle in Wimbledon 12.4c. Vicious storm. Be careful out there.
  13. I prefer playing in wet soggy conditions than in hot dry weather. Bit of mud and rain never harmed anyone.
  14. Heavyish showers now passing through the capital. Nice to see. Freshens things up a bit after the prolonged dry spell. Wind getting up too, temp 11.3c.
  15. Amazing how much if an effect the fog has on temperatures in Ireland.
  16. Fabulous garden you got there mate. Trying to work out what the mysterious object under wraps is though.
  17. Some proper lively weather on way next week, and about time too.
  18. Quite amazing to see the number of people wearing coats and scarves on the tube this evening. They obviously dress for the month and not the weather.
  19. Very true. Another problem will be the fruit trees that will start much earlier than normal and may get decimated by frosts later in the spring.
  20. I have noticed that cold unstable North Westerlies are becoming much less frequent.
  21. Indeed Tom. And there is always April. I have found some pics of the April 2008 London snowfall... Not sure what date, think it was Easter weekend though. That's a London snowman if ever there was one!!
  22. Certainly a big change from late Wednesday onwards. Atlantic gearing up after a long absence. Active weather on way. Maybe the seasons will get back into proper sync at last.
