  1. That forecast could be summarised in three words "HAVE'NT A CLUE". And as for the 'risk for further very warm weather' bit, what sort of rubbish is that????
  2. 28.4c on my allotment. Spuds are loving it!! Tomatoes and chillies in now too. Looking somewhat unsettled next weekend, showery with some sun. Nice to get a mix of weather this time of year.
  3. Yes indeed, plus they know its pretty for them easy to forecast.
  4. Monkey is actually quite nice, had it in Guatemala. Tastes a bit like rabbit. Clouded over here in SW London now. 18c. Not a bad day,not brilliant either.
  5. Well according to the northern lads' mad thread this morning we are heading for mid to high twenties early next week in this neck of the woods. Met Office saying 18-20c. Let's see whose right. More rain on way for today....
  6. Hard to believe the days start getting shorter next month. It ll be winter again in no time.
  7. Rubbish precipitation forecasting yet again from the so called experts. They just can't seem to get a handle ob anything coming fron the south or east.
  8. Your a bit early with your tomatoes mate?? Im leaving mine another fortnight. No sign if any meaningful heat for a good while. Mind you,im only just putting in the spuds this weekend, eventually. Was away during the warm spell!!Forecast looks foul for the weekend!
  9. The man from darlington is calling the heatwave ON for bank holiday weekend!! Can't remember which Bank Holiday weekend mind.
  10. Certainly cooler today in SW London.Quite nice to be honest. And those large pink creatures with hairy toes that were lolloping around on the district line seem to have hibernated again till the next hot spell.Thats looking a long way off now.
  11. I know this is going to sound weird but I've just realised my cat has got massive feet. Might be the up coming hot spell thats causing it.
  12. Row brewing on mad thread as to whether its going to be 25c or 26c. Be careful in there if anyone decides to venture in.
  13. Fabulous day. Been out and about, and a little trip to the bookies! Whats the latest from Darlington? Heatwave still on?
  14. No,he doesn't look very happy does he.He ll be fine when the heatwave arrives next week. Though I can't for the life of me work out whats going on in the first pic!!
  15. I haven't seen the Fog though I remember Foggy from Last of the Summer Wine.
  16. Mad thread going for 25-27c next week. Met Office going for rather warm in places. Place your bets folks!
  17. Yes,it's all a bit late this year. I normally put mine in early April for September harvest. Soil temperature is so low at the minute I'm going to leave it now till after next week's supposed warm up. This abject lack of sunshine doesn't help. Happy planting by the way.
  18. From the north east you say. That means Darlington will get hit first!
  19. Forecast for the next few days is looking Sunni in places but mostly Shiite.
  20. The lack of sunshine recently is almost becoming interesting in itself. It's got to be one of the dullest April's ever. Mind you, there's time yet. I knew I shouldnt have said the allotment was dry a few weeks back. Certainly isnt now!
