  1. Yes,got 9mm here so not bad. According to Met South East outlook going to be heavy showers tommorow, sunday evening and again monday. Saturday looks dry at the minute so you should be able to get out and about for a while.
  2. Yes,they possibly/maybe/could/perhaps/chance dont cope well when the weather is coming uo from the south or in from the east.
  3. Ooooh yes,i like a good Womble every now and again. Who doesn't.
  4. Rain getting heavier now in Wimbledon, another batch moving up from the south, what a difference a few days makes. 16.2c. Gardens and small trees loving it,they have taken alot of abuse over last 3/4 months especially the indigenous plantings.
  5. Its on way, your area should get a good drenching today.Probably more than here.
  6. Rain getting heavier now in SW London. Good drink for the allotment and garden.Feels quite autumnal.16.5c Glad to see models backing away from more heat though I never bought that anyway.
  7. Nice moderate rain here in sw london this morning, heavier stuff on way. Fresh at 17c. The cool down is complete. Could be a rather unsettled spell coming up looking at met fax charts. Nice change.
  8. Are the northern chaps getting all excited about it being hot in London again? Ooh I think we ll get a fair amount of rain in the next 5-7 days.
  9. Seriously heavy rain now in Wimbledon! Very convective though nowt else....
  10. Yes,the big storms have become less frequent. However,we all recall the storm of June 22nd 2016, certainly in the London area, raged throughout the night, constant thunder and lightning and 50mm of rain, and that was during a fairly crap spell of weather. The fact that some folk got up the following morning and voted for Brexit well that's another story!
  11. Proper heavy rain now here to last 15 minute. No thunder though, just rain, that will do mind.
  12. I know it's frowned upon to say it but we in the south east get some of our best storms during cool unsettled summers. Cool unstable air can give us some great beefy storms. I think we might put too much faith in storm imports from the continent.
  13. The humidity in London this evening is worse than ever, and the sun is shining again. Still 27.5c. So much for the cool down.. Beeb going for a wet Thursday and Saturday just now so maybe we see some of the wet stuff!
  14. Gone very dark here in S W London, lots of instability, rain not far away, pleasant surprise.Could be an interesting evening.
  15. 30.4c here in SW London. Probably get to 32c. Interesting outlook just out from the met office.Looks like it could be our turn to get some decent rain down here in the medium term. Further out, they have been hinting at thundery weather for some time now. Could turn out to be a wet enough early autumn.
  16. Ooh now that I have zoomed in on it it is rather small isn't it! Still, small things are often the juiciest. My spuds are small this year but probably the tastiest I ve had in 4 y ears! Looks like final blast of heat today for some time.....
  17. Yes,it ll be a nice refreshing change. 30c again here this afternoon for goodness sake!. Not long now till that lovely autumnal smell takes hold, crisp dewey mornings, big showers and the ground nice and soggy underfoot. And then Winter........!!! Yay!!
  18. I see the met and the more level headed posters on the mod thread going for a major pattern change with wind and rain for all. Lead us nicely into autumn.
  19. And about time too! Two or three more days of this nonsense and then back normal. Three months of virtually unbroken sunshine and drought is quite enough. A good drenching is what we need for a few weeks, lead us nicely into autumn. Bliss.
  20. Very true! Some bloke on the SE thread cancelled an Under 15s footy match last sunday because it rained.
