    Torrential rain with thunder now in SW19. Not forecast, no surprise there.

    No signal of any northern blocking there. Looks like a euro high will take up residence for early part of winter. Quite mild, misty and generally uneventful. Usual fayre to be honest.

    Bit damp this morning, a quite heavy shower earlier about 9.30. On a more serious note, the temperature has dropped from 10.2 to 9.3c in an hour.The floodgates have opened howling artic winds have arrived. For goodness sake be careful out there folks. Shock to the system? Not half!!!

    I think I will ask for a forecast from the next Halloween witch I bump into. Really can't understand why in 2018 they are still so uncertain even at 5 days out. Apart from when there is HP of course.

    Looks great that, can't beat fresh homegrown. You were lucky got them harvested before this weekend's brutal northerly sets in. I reckon it ll be a 'real shock to the system'. Forecasting 9c on Saturday!!! Temp now. 5.8c.

    Northerlies very rarely do it for us here anyway. Non event this time round anyway. Too early.The hunt for cold thread has returned empty handed. LP taking over next week and maybe some proper weather finally. Rain and gales.Been exceptionally dry.Rain badly needed. Hopefully get above average rainfall Nov and Dec. As for today,bit nippy out at 6.8c but otherwise.....zzzzzzzzz..

    Speaking of things Italian, has anyone seen the YouTube footage of last night's epic storms in Rome!!! Absolutely awesome. Must be great to live somewhere that gets exciting weather. I expect tomorrow will be the same as today here, sunny with a bit of a breeze. Oh the thrill of it.

    Even fog would be more exciting than this. Coming up to 7 months of almost continuous high pressure dominated weather, with just the odd blip in between. No end in sight either. Boring, boring boring. 18.8c today!!!! Like, really????

    Gone dull now after bright start. Mild though at 17.8. Met backing away from any meaningful rain for the forceeable. Looks like we heading for autumn drought, never goes news in the south east.

    I certainly hope so. Though we need that blasted HP to our south/south west to finally do one. We don't want that type of 'blocking', we ll just end up with this. Dank and breezy this morning, 13.2c...no rain despite some being forecast.
