  1. It could snow in 6 weeks time at end of October like it did in 2008.
  2. Have a good afternoon mate. Always good to read your posts. Especially if there's a Spike Milligan gag thrown in! Boring non-event weather continues. Dull and 17c in London. May get some proper weather later in week.
  3. Constant high pressure just to the south of UK which we have had now for 7 months will always result in very little thunder activity. Lack of instability and absolutely nothing from the continent. They have had just as little thunder storm activity as us.
  4. I think it is all quite related to where you live and the type of weather you like. If any type if weather hangs around too long it gets boring. In my opinion. The most frustrating as opposed to forgettable was the infamously cold snowy December 2010.Managed to get about 5cms of snow in the whole month while places as nearby as Croydon and Sutton had about 25cms. That's stalling fronts for you!
  5. Hopefully. Looking forward to the start of the autumn storm train. Good old lashings of wind and rain, proper autumn weather. Quite warm after cold start here went down to 6.8c Now 17c.
  6. Heat staying just the other side of the channel. Very autumnal in the capital today. Fresh.
  7. Bit damp this morning and 12c. Some rain overnight too, everything freshened up somewhat. Much cooler later.
  8. Even if it did the forecast would change within 18/24 hours to the usual dry and mostly cloudy with the odd sunny spell borefest. It must be the easiest region in the UK if not further afield to forecast. No wonder those ladies on the SE beeb forecasts have always got a smile on their faces.
  9. Here's hoping. Some interesting weather happening the other side of the Atlantic now that may give us some proper weather next week, just hope that limpet high to the south finally does one!
  10. What a load of old nonsense. And a London live webcam with snow!!!! Mind you I'm surprised given its the express they never mentioned house prices or Diana.
  11. Great pics as ever. Keeps the interest in this thread to counteract the mindlessly tedious weather. Going to be 20c and cloudy today. Yeahhh. Zzzzzzzz.
  12. Too hot and too monotonous for a weather enthusiast imo. I like the odd hot spell interspersed with a good old thundery breakdown, a few cooler days, then hosting up again. Something of interest. There was nothing outstandingly interesting about this summer, we have hotter days in London during very average summers. Glad for the folk that enjoyed it but personally I am glad to see the back of it.
  13. Indeed so. The S word has already been mentioned on the MAD thread. Heatwaves as well but....
  14. Same here in London. Personally I think it was the never ending monotonous tedium of it that will be memorable.
  15. Yes, that was interesting to watch yesterday on the rain radar. Very localised.
  16. Surprisingly warm out. Still 18.2c. Hopefully some rain over next few days to clear the air.
  17. Not bad here in SW London. Dry with bright spells and temp of 21.3c. Probably be the last totally dry day for some time, looking at met outlook and charts.
  18. Plus the warmer than normal waters to the south and west of these islands may give extra energy to any incoming storms.
  19. Interesting outlook for end of week and weekend from Met. Heavy rain at times followed by heavy showers and sunny spells also, we may get some convective activity, be a nice change. Ground drying up again quite rapidly so its needed.
  20. Loving these darker mornings, no sun blazing in the window at 5.30am. 13.6c currently. Bit of mist over the lake in the park. Nice cloudscape this morning too.
