  1. Beeb going for major cool down from midweek and rain for all areas. Could be the start of autumn?Imagine if we had an early autumn after all the heat. Balance things out.
  2. Haven't seen the forecast for tommorow but let me guess..... 28c Sunny with light breeze. Easy this forecasting business now that we are in groundhog days!! :$
  3. I would have thought the same though my tomatoes too are very small and they have been in the sun for two months, and fed too!
  4. You don't have to wait till October 25th to get persistent drivel.
  5. Good, because this heatwave can do one now. Still 28c and sweating my knackers off, most humid its been during this long drawn out interminable summer. And 33c tommorow, just great!! Cant wait for the Atlantic to get its ass in gear again, with a few hot days and a thunderstorm thrown in. Propa weather!!
  6. Lets wait and see what tommorow's outlook brings. I'm not sure just yet, we were here 3 weeks ago with an imminent change and we are still sweltering! This is gonna take some shifting. Call me old fashioned but I want to go back to the 'three hot days and a thunderstorm' weather a few days of 27/28c then all eyes to the south for the storms. Followed by a few coolish showery days. This weather confirms my inability to understand why in the name of sanity would older folk move to Spain / Cyprus etc. Iceland looks good at the minute. Reykyavik 9c.....bit the booze is wicked expensive! B-)
  7. Yes,we have come a long way haven't we....carrying other animals shi:ite round in little plastic bags! Who do these dog owners think are going to untie these little surprises from the trees. I bet their Christmas trees are a bit interesting? Anway, back to the weather. 28.8c here and Sunny. Plus ca change!
  8. Bit of a change on the way next week according to the met outlook. Certainly looking forward to an end to this endlessly tedious heat and blinding sunshine. Its a bugger to work outdoors in. And why oh why do folk that decide to eat their food outside( I thought we evolved from doing that milenia ago!) insist on leaving their rubbish and leftover food behind them. Suppose it keeps the mice and rats happy.
  9. Yes,rather pleases with the spuds. Tomatoes got damaged at weekend as well but tied them up. Looks like we gonna get some rain tonight then thats it for the foreseeable. Beeb going for 33c for us on Friday, gonna book the day off and head up to the common, always a bit of cooling breeze up there. I just realized it's not the SE Thread. Oooops!!!
  10. Oh he ll be fine. I find whiskey very useful in painful situations like that. I must confess I have enjoyed this last few days weather, over the allotment just now, nice wind and a passing shower, pleasant relief. Amazing crop of spuds given the extreme dry conditions. Only watered them twice in 10 weeks!!
  11. Yes,its all rather 'constipated' 5 mins of rain though so better than nought.
  12. Ironically,i think another 2/3 days at 35c would finally make people realise that temperatures this high have NO benefits whatsoever! When you ask people why they like weather like this they say " oh at least its not raining" Well, really!!
  13. In fairness to the Met,they never included much of the area in the warning zone, and its a very lowest level warning anyway. Looks like this hot spell could end in this area anyway, south west london, without a drop of rain, which would be remarkable in itself. Just one shower would do.
  14. They were both in agreement today and the last few days, give or take a degree or so. I'm with the beeb on this one for tommorow, certainly for London.
  15. Oooh its far to hot for dogging! Still 26c down here. Just seen beeb going for a high of 21c for London on Sunday. Yesssss!!!
  16. Well under that tree you ll be the first to know if theres a lightning strike!
  17. For us down here in south east,if its looking quiet in channel/ n.france always think about what happened on night of July 17th 2014. Absolutely silch going on till about 1am then all hell broke loose till about 7am. Storms just erupted out of nowhere. Not sure if the set up is the same but the ingredients certainly there.
  18. Im with you all the way SR. Ridiculous heat and if you feel like moaning, moan away, theres plenty on here feel the same! About to get on Central Line so god knows how hot its going to be on there. Surely its only a matter of time before the Atlantic gets its act together and sends us some good old fashioned wild weather. Bliss!!!! Autumn just aroind the corner......
  19. Most of them live oop north where they will be lucky to see 25c. Still 27.5c here probably higher in central london. I just cant understand what the attraction is. Still,i suppose its only a matter of time before we get some proper interesting weather. This isnt interesting, its groundhog day....after day, after day!!
  20. He can do one too and take this heat with him.Useless individual!
  21. Im just not convinced about Fridays storm potential, hope I am wrong though.Even the promise of a shower hss been watered down to nothing over the last two months.
