Severe Atlantic Storms Over The Christmas Period #2
Gaz1985 replied to Liam J's topic in Storms & Severe Weather
There is a glimmer of good news for some people UK Power Networks - supplier to millions in southern and eastern England - is offering to pay for their Christmas dinner. They're asking local restaurants and pubs with spare tables to email SDCSupportContact@ukpowernetworks.co.uk or call 0800 028 0959. Some 56,000 households supplied by the company are still without electricity."- 986 replies

To be fair I reckon with the right set up anywhere in the UK can have "impressive" snow even in Cornwall. But with your height you would do well in the marginal situations too, probably places below 200m would have rain. -

Perhaps you need counselling if lack of snow makes you feel like that......... it's not the end of the world, there's more important things than snow, the weather will do what it wants. -

Gaz1985 replied to Cheshire Freeze's topic in Spring Weather Discussion
Not a great post for coldies on the model output by Fergie as he has more data available to him. Before this Winter started I had a suspicion that we may have a similar Winter to 2011-12 (the cold arriving sometime in February) as this stage most of January is looking mildish and wet. -
Sounds like "cold zonality"
-
Frosty has been showing similar charts since early October lol, not seen a covering of snow yet, although we definitely had some sleet around 2pm.

It looks like one of those borderline events when places above 200m may well see a slight temporary covering but most of us see sleet. -
You may well do being as high as you are. Obviously depends on precipitation with the main band moving away from the region. Your best bet is late afternoon/evening tomorrow.
