    I really hope something like that doesn't come anywhere near us I love a good storm but that would be a major disaster. I wonder what sort of storm surge a low like that would create.

    My first recorded air frost last night -1.1 but then the temperature shot up quite quickly after midnight and the morning is frost free. Cloudy and a temp of 5.6 this morning that's a big change from the evening.

    Yea it really was a let down even up as high as 300-400m it was only a dusting but it's only November bigger and better things are bound to come.

    I'm a big fan of winter tyres but it's hard to justify buying new ones when these ones have only done 4k miles.

    I hit the sperrins there and saw lying snow and falling snow so I'm happy. The new car is awful on the snow real bad understeer and wont stop at all i think its the "eco" tyres fiat fitted it with they're like plastic.

    Only rainy sleet here temperature raised to 3 unfortunately I think I'm going to miss it here.

    Just woke up first thing I did was reach for the weather station 2.2 degrees and a dew point of -0.6 seems like it might snow even if it doesn't lie.

    I'll be trying my best to lamppost watch but there isn't any around work so it won't be the easiest lol.

    There's no nice snow symbols on the forecast for me unfortunately but that's the problem with being on low ground. I finish work at 8 on Saturday morning so I might head to higher ground seeking snow depending on how tired I am.

    Was it 2 years ago we saw the bridge almost reach Iceland. It would be interesting to see it actually form the whole way across.

    I really need to increase the height of my weather station it's far too sheltered in its current position I only got a highest gust today of 22 mph. It's round the back of my house and it's good temp and rain but very sheltered from wind. Aw it'll be grand as long as it snows soon lol.

    Would it be Venus and Jupiter I'd be seeing early every morning in work 07:00ish off sort of ENE quite low in the sky it's a very bright star and a less bright one. I may try and grab a pic on my phone in the morning

    I'm back from my summer slumber lol. Still haven't recorded below 0 yet lowest recorded so far was this morning at 1.1 with a nice ground frost. It's been a lovely autumn so far much nicer than the summer lol. That reminds me I need to change my location I moved in the spring.

    I spent all night in work so am in bed now and can't enjoy the snow but I got to watch it most of the night whiteout conditions at times fantastic. Had a tricky drive home though lol. Snow almost level with the kerbs must be a decent 3 inches. Neighbours van shows the depth well

    Was white this morning and has been snowing heavy now for a while and is white again. I'm trying to get a sleep for work tonight but the snow is keeping me awake

    All night snow hunt nearly over and not a flake seen but I did see some during the day so not all lost lol. Here's to hoping for something next week
