  1. Agreed, I have seen yet again comparisons to 2010 along other years, as well as "Beast From The East" I can assure that this upcoming cooler spell isn't that. If you're expecting widespread snowfall, ice days and the like I hate to say that you will be disappointed. At the same time, we have got some good building blocks so we will have our chances of getting more colder weather.
  2. Indeed, while it's a good run it the great stuff remains at day 10 and beyond which it's disappointing. Yellow card
  3. I would give a yellow card, we need these great/awesome charts to be in the more reliable timeframe! But yes, The Ecm looks cool!
  4. Although the models are trending colder, we have lost some cross model agreement. Hopefully the ECM will back the GFS in a few hours time.
  5. Still being quite cautious so far, it's exciting that we are getting some good sypnotics but at least in the short term is the lack of "Cold" air if your looking for widespread snowfall. It will be chilly and actually quite seasonal for the time of year which makes a change considering how mild the year has been.
  6. Next minute, the so called "easterly" will go on strike
  7. Couldn't of agree more with this, yes there are promising trends for colder weather and perhaps snow. However it's not even in the semi reliable time frame, if we truly want a chance of getting this cold weather it has to get into the reliable time frame. We have seen time and time again what happens with these "trends" bit hopefully this year will be different.
  8. It's a good start, however by no means it is guaranteed. Of course the models will continue to chop and change but hopefully we remain on this cold trend. Some exciting model watching for the next few days. I just hope I didn't just jinx it lol
  9. The Final Text and has been agreed too. Unfortunately even though there was quite a large push from countries like the UK,European Union,US and India to phase out/down all fossil fuels it wasn't enough. Russia, Iran and Saudi Arabia to name a few pushed back on this. The result? It's the same as last year's COP26 with it being a phase down with coal. However, a historical first is being that a Loss And Damage Fund will be created, some countries have been calling this for years if not decades.
  10. There was supposed to be a draft version last night, instead it's pages of elements to be discussed. Time is running out for a deal/pact to be made.
  11. Not necessarily, the reality is that The 2010 Winter was a exceptionally rare event. People expecting something like that this year are going to be a very disappointed. Our Climate is changing to a more warmer and wetter here in this country, that's not to say that they won't be cold winters but it's going to be incredibly rare at this rate.
  12. Better off winning the lottery at this rate for any "cold" weather here in England.
  13. That's a good start, if we can get to that position that is. Get the cold in first then reap the rewards later?
  14. The European Union, UK and "Alliance of Small Island States" support India's "phase down" of all fossil fuels this to be included in the first draft, China/Saudi Arabia won't be too pleased with this so expect a middle ground on this.
