  1. I can only imagine that risk of wildfires starting is going to be high for quite some time this month. We can only hope in the coming months we get increased rainfall or else we are in trouble.
  2. Quite lucky living in the southern parts of Cornwall.
  3. Our thermostat is about 23/24c here. Going to be a hot day
  4. Something to unfortunately watch out is the risk of wildfires for today and tomorrow. As we have seen in Portugal and Spain wildfires can become a huge issue sadly.
  5. One thing that hasn't been talked about is the risk of wildfires. Do any models show the risk of a wildfire?
  6. So basically it's not necessary a downgrade (may depend where you live) but the times have changed.
  7. Sorry, I posted the link by mistake. Have hidden as a result.
  8. What do you mean? The heat being brought in quicker or the cold air mass?
  9. Just had a updated amber warning come though my phone. It said something about UKHSA then upon opening it was cancelled. Update incoming?
  10. Starting to remind me of the charts a few days where it was showing 43c in places...
  11. I'm looking at this chart and I'm wondering too myself... How does Cornwall managed to escape the worst of it
  12. I was thinking the same earlier this morning. Models are still going for a hot spell over the weekend and into next week but thankfully have trended away from the extreme heat being showed just a day or so ago.
  13. Indeed, on one hand it's incredible what weather can do. I have seen that models have picked this trend here and there. However it's also dangerous especially seeing these temperatures for our area. I would hope that this gets downgraded or what ever term would you like to use.
  14. My eyes were quite itchy that very day, absolutely awful. Thankfully the symptoms have eased greatly but the pollen is set to remain very high to high for the next few days.
  15. It's just right for me, bit too hot Last Friday but what did it for me was my hayfever
  16. Just had one torrential rain shower pass by here, been mostly overcast with the exception of a hour or so of sunshine. Cornish Weather in a nutshell.
  17. I absolutely love having Fanta, on the odd occasion a Thatchers Cider
  18. I'm actually looking forward to some hot weather next week, a taste of summer (I hope). Hopefully it doesn't get too humid.
  19. Agreed, it was quite a nice month. Here it was generally dry with some showers here and there, but I did enjoyed having a sunbathe here and there . Will May be different?
