ECM 0z run ( 96+ ) ECM 12z Run ( 96+ ) The High Pressure is stronger and sightly east on this run... Not so good news for snow fans.

Well Guys and Girls we now await the 12z run of the GFS. I am hoping for upgrades for this run. Its likely we have a 'better' run compared to the 0z run.

Good afternoon to you all. Just checked the BBC weather for this Sunday next Monday and compared to this morning its a major downgrade for snowfall for Cornwall.

Good morning everyone and its day zero of the cold invasion. Right now the temperature is 8.5c and its steadying at the moment. Lots of rain right now Tomorrow in was hoping for some snow but instead I will be getting a dumping of rain according to BBC.

To be honest i think i am getting confused with what people are saying We have comments like 'Freezing Cold' 'Snow' '10 Day + Cold spell' Or... We have comments like 'Major Downgrade' ' Atlantic Train' 'Mild Westerly returning' Please everyone don't misleading people esp newbies who do not know how to read/look at models that well. It goes to a extreme to just look at the models yourself to be honest. Rant over and lets look at the models... GFS i will say is not as good as the UKMO,ECM because 1. It less cold then the UKMO or the ECM 2.It does't look it going to snowfest 'south of the m4' that well. (Yes it be snowing but not 2010 style) And just to say whatever if the models are to downgrade or upgrade that will be a 'cold' 'spell' or 'topper' (Depending on opinions) Just enjoy the roller-coaster ride of it all.

So it seems that the slider or next snow event is set to look like a disappointment but it's going to have to come down to nowcasting, however the so called 'mild Westerly return' for the over 9999th time this winter but it will not be the star of the show since it will be going to a pm if not something better. Just be happy we got a cold spell (depending on view) and not a the next set of storms like last year.

ECM Should be starting to roll out now we wait for the ECM run with a lot of hope. I think there may be a upgrade this time but we see soon.

Unfortunately i think the best you got at seeing snow (Light or Heavy) snowfall i think midweek is going to be you're best shot but the models are changing the track in the slider low. It may come to nowcasting but the models are slowly upgrade as of this post. ECM is going to roll any min now so take a look there.

Awaiting the next set (12z) of runs I hope this is going to be a start of the upgrades and maybe the models will start to show a Scandinavian high more on the models in the mid-long term. In all a good model watching period is soon to begin.

And yet that's in the deepest FI possible,Yes it is a mild chart but the next run will most likely change into something else. Also I haven't got a clue what's up with the forum today everyone seems to be upset over the models lately just because of FI. Next week we got a storm to cope with some added snow in it but really it going to get colder.

Maybe than if the Scots are used to life treating storms than how come warnings are issued? I will tell you this that the met office issue warnings for a reason.
