Model Banter, Moans and Ramps Spring/Summer 2015.

Only a few days ago we was talking about a near nationwide heatwave now today so it seems only the south east and central England is only getting anything warmer. From a standpoint i would of loved to seem a very warm/hot heatwave but however as i seems at the moment ( I could change ) has all but broken apart, however i couldn't see a heatwave happing becuase it was just "hard" to get the High pressure at the right place at the right time same goes with the heat too... Unfortunately some of us too the bait and payed for it. It looks like in the south west it won't even reach 20c let alone get warmer. But the only good news is that it will be dry nationwide for at least a few days to two weeks. -

Is there any proof? Which model? -
Good Evening to you all. As the Warm/Hot Spell is ending as we speak or has ended depending on where you are the cool spell slowly taking over the UK with unsettled weather as it main force. Your opinions/thoughts on the spell/period. Please also be respectful of other users opinions as well...

Tonight's short summery of the main models. ECM and GFS on the same team know as "Team Cold" want to bring a cool/cold northerly blast with snow for the north and somewhat for the south at times as well as unsettled weather on the cards but the details will be known soon. UKMO is the last man/model standing if your a fan of warm/hot settled weather, let's see it takes the stand for partners in crime to join him or if he falls to the coldness is up for contest. We find that out soon.

So it seems that a cool/cold northerly blast is set to happen around the weekend as acroding to the last few runs of the models (GFS,ECM And so on) However the latest GFS has seem to stop the northerly in it's tracks around Northern England even through the Main event will be up in Scotland and part's of England the uk will be having a cool down for a while when higher pressure strikes back later on. But this is only "ONE" run on "ONE" Model which is the GFS ( 12z ) even through the UKMO does somewhat support the idea it's best to take this one step and a time due to how complex it may be. I won't put hopes up for a cold blast from the north but not a hot wave from the south west or where ever it may be so I'm sticking to just a sightly cooler period and some unsettled rain and wind. Take it one day at a time folks since the models always change in detail ( Minor or Major ).

California drying
Skullzrulerz replied to knocker's topic in Hurricanes, Cyclones and Extreme weather worldwide
California governor order first ever water restrictions http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-32151413?ns_mchannel=social&ns_campaign=bbc_breaking&ns_source=twitter&ns_linkname=news_central The governor of California has created the state's mandatory water reduction orders, following a historic drought. The order mandates a 25 percent reduction in water sage for cities and town across the state. Last year, Governor Jerry Brown proclaimed a state of emergency, after years of drought. The state recorded it's lowest-ever snowpack, which will mean that water supplies from melting snow will be reduced in coming months.
