  1. just love how that cell that started near Wrexham.. died .. but still providing torrential rain for the last 2-4 hours .. travelling ESE towards Wolverhampton
  2. oooh wouldn't say it's died, just taking a breath after all the hard work it has just done
  3. there seems to be a line heading toward chester or just South, Another storm possibly part of the line heading for Shrewsbury? and the Hereford storm which seems to be a dominant strong feature gaining momentum.
  4. wow those showers are really looking juicy, and the main band of rain approaching manchester has even pepped up a lot
  5. another cell rapidly appearing at Banbury, it seems to be the Southern Boundary for potential storm activity currently
  6. I think the radar looks quite interesting, there seems to be masses of cloud building and rapidly pouring their contents. Such as Leicester .. and earlier Banbury
  7. torrential downpour Banbury / North of Oxford.. waitng for a sferic o,o ?
  8. at least we can look at Blitz .. to see the little storm near Bordeaux
  9. I think it's beginning, some showers pepping up really quickly Newport eastwards
  10. well if there are any storms in the early hours, whether they hit Wales or not, the storms that came from a similar direction, in Spring 2017... were incredible. I could see the flashes in Plymouth from South Wales.. Does anyone remember that event? my video notes the date as 27/05/2017. Anyway, keep your eyes peeled !
  11. me too, looks like the first threat of anything up the welsh/English borders.
  12. might not be very relevant , but there is already a thunderstorm in the Atlantic , surely.. must be hard to squeeze a thunderstorm that far out in the atlantic.. and it's coming towards us? probably will die.. but the ingredients must be something special?
  13. This Sunday-Tuesday set up reminds me of an Ex Hurricane from the USA.. I think in August, a few years ago. There is a little village (boscastle?) That got absolutely flooded by the amount of moisture that was picked up in the atlantic and dumped over the hills. - Yes it's less windy, but I believe the moisture battling the heat give some concern for a nasty situation. I would have considered a wide metoffice warning for torrential thundery downpours if anything. I think the term thunderstorm is patchy at best given the set up until later into the forecast. (ahh a few years ago I said, 2004 .. nearly half my life time ago )
  14. Keep us updated I'll be watching the radar to see what if anything comes of it! ,
  15. this low pressure is pivoting , again, looks like it's weakening but again, moisture this time from the English channel looks like it wants to feed it another time.. as it starts a new venture .. this low is one thirsty spinner.
  16. @Jayfromcardiff am I right thinking that there's a low pressure trying to push northeastwards (from tiverton) with the fronts on it, but is also a sub low of the one SW of Cornwall ? The 3 fronts , ~ one NE Cardiff gaining strength slowly, ~ another one pushing towards Bristol, and a final one pushing from the South Coast. Is that sub low actually stalling over the Bristol channel sucking up moisture? ?
