    so, what's the chances that there are already lightning strikes and thunder in the showers we have but they're too small for our ears, eyes and detectors to pick up ?

    wow so many heavy and torrential downpours starting across the SW, and the heat continues to build... the sun is intermittently pouring through the clouds and besides the clouds.. Amber warning for 4pm + .. are we expecting these widespread showers to not only be imported but also merge with home grown storms?

    there's a slight hint and tint of that yellow dust in the distant clouds across the Welsh valleys

    the only issue I have.. it's cloudy. no beautiful sun BBQing the land for the storms.

    yes wait and see.. it always comes down to that .. but we love looking at trends in storms.. and they always spin us different hooks .. confirming or denying us of our predictions.

    yes, and given the metoffice warning starts at 11am ,.. and we're already seeing really potent torrential downpours .. .. makes me wonder.. .. could we be in for the biggest storm day of storm days this year?

    This is on the NE Swiss border, some lightning strikes visible there.. as the storm approaches!

    i'm not sure,. may'be over your area,. the main storm has decayed,. but overall its expanded and now has a few intense centers to it. We could be looking all night at this and wondering will it truly die,. but doesn't seem like it (entirely)

    All the showers and storms appear to be intensifying from the West Midlands to the east

    checking radar through the west midlands,. showers seem to be intensifying,.

    after the floods in kent... and now all those sferics.. and heavy rain.. people will be very nervous to go to sleep tonight! and those storms crossing and heading towards the east.. one reignited with a good number of strikes!

    it's also looking like it's going to get very intense over Dover soon,. ~ still storms developing on the continuous line into London.. but most of them start close to London,. not over the ferry between Dover and Calais.

    West of East molesy ~ a storm just popping up, you see the development,. and then an explosion on its northern edge then look towards Winchester for the next storm, looking like a homegrown one!
