Portsmouth-Brighton, may see something soon, storm heading NW,. not much on it, but a sferic has been seen pretty far North of the channel.

Tell me about it, if the air was any more humid I could hydrate myself off it.. Already feel suffocated

1 or 2 storms in Wales... and a whole bunch more Torrential downpours I'm looking at developments between Cardiff and Newport, but also West Bristol. The sky has definitely fired up,. It's still very humid out over SE Wales valleys.

weird moment when your local storm looks like a scissors shaped crab

a cell exploded over Swansea, it's this sort of thing that gives me hope.

I saw that in Cardiff, thought there would have been a torrential downpour,, and even up here in valleys it's looking stormy.. weird, not an active cell for at least 20miles

Photo just doesn't do it justice at all, there's far more bubbly detail on edge/upper side of the cloud.

I have been watching these storms over Bristol and it's 30 or so mile radius... thinking they're dying... but no.. just pulsing.. it's happened here in Blackwood too.. ~ sometimes you've seen an epic storm to the South.. it dies out over Blackwood.. and then pulses into epic strength when it gets 10 miles further North... clouds ... not clowns... this is no joke Mr Cloud, give me your electric!

these little shower cells over Bristol Channel, I wonder if they will go boom when hey hit South Wales, it's sunny here.. very humid!! Further West toward Swansea and Llanhelli, anything that develops explodes.

I've just been checking GFS.. Can't quite believe how many lows are going to back centered over Southern UK /Midlands ... over the next week.. + I wouldn't take any particular forecast for granted... but didn't we have similar scenarios just 2 years ago with Storms hitting the South West causing months of flooding and the Dawlish sea Defense being shattered? Every storm could bring us a chance of thunder, hail... strong .. severe gale force winds,. mini tornadoes,. .. I don't know about prolonged rain, I haven't checked.. ,, but torrential downpours seem almost inevitable. My Dads kitchen got flooded Christmas Eve,. just from a torrential Downpour.. but the trees are still dropping leaves!!!!
