There is some rapid cloud development Just North of France.. aside from the thunderstorm around Brest.

None the less.. some lightning over the Brest.. as William .. has been showing the developing situation there beaten by alexis.. I think it's real, some heavy downpours over that region

I thought there would have been imports from France tonight tbh.. but no ones saying it.. so I've somewhat given up on that idea

Surprised to see the CAPE on the GFS already up at 6am this morning!! Netweather Xtra here I come ! .. going to be looking for any isolated showers and thunderstorms developing over Western Europe today !

How does it know when your going to take a photo.. you may just pretend? ~ Or does it record a second before you hit "capture"?

Well, looks like the first thunderstorm is developing over the mountains in NW Spain.. will be interesting to see how this develops over the next few hours and if more will develop. By tomorrow.. We should have some spectacular displays over France!! As those storms (hopefully) work their way towards us.

Just need to say.. we should keep an eye for any developments over Spain tonight.. Once the storms start to arrive there.. they should start pushing their way up towards UK over the next 24 hours!

West will probably get the majority of the storms through Tuesday night.. ~ so may'be not the impressive heat to trigger them off.. but the show will be so much better at night

think it's possible for Thunderstorms to break out .. particularly on Tuesday and Wednesday in England and Wales... but not exclusive to those 2 days.. as then on Friday-Sunday storms seem likely... ~ then into the following week.. looks like something to keep an eye on to!! With another Spanish Plume gathering.. the question is.. will it hit us.. ~ it is far off!

So we could be looking at a double Spanish Plume?

Wow, storm or no storm next week.. there'll be a flood of sweat everywhere! Got to say, i'm not looking forward to potential temperatures 28-34.. which I believe could happen if these charts play out correctly! 20 Celsius sleeping temperatures.. a big if, but this pulls off.. we could have an incredible mid-decade set of storms.. pretty sure we'll get some! Possible set up for our Midlands Tornado alley to come alive? Anyway ~ Sunday Night.. but much more likely Monday evening/night.. we should keep an eye on Spain.. if there storms are going to happen it looks like Spain is the first target! ~ That may occupy our attention for a while, while waiting for them to push through France on Tuesday.. though that's just the beginning.. there's a whole week of European storms to enjoy!! ~ Perhaps we can start looking for potential cameras we can watch with good live stream quality

One heading for Didcot the other is over Twyford The large cell that produced much lightning East of Winchester .. well on it's NE Flank.. developing rapid torrential showers.

Another very heavy cell just popped up west of Reading

Netweather 5min radar.. torrential storm developed within 15 mins

Just as the storm over Winchester looks to be dying.. one sprouts off it near Reading!

*Cry* .. few spots of rain in Esto lvl 2 ... might have to get the rescue teams out..... one ant told me the flooding was terrible.... mean while the spider suffered no such ill fate

According to radar, Brighton houses the most intense shower in the UK. Radar shows that the drizzle is intensifying as it moves up the valleys!

take a look at the radar around Exeter .. Definitely potential for sparks there! Showers developing from nothing to torrential in around 10mins
