Well I got a video out, from the first major thunderstorm that struck Wales in the early hours.. http://youtu.be/OPzq1Q2lEmY Lightning occurs in the first part of the video, but the rain builds after that stops!

Well haven't seen any lightning in the distance for a while.. ~ but I have and still can hear several owls chatting in the forest .. my attempt of an owl impression lead one of them to fly on to my roof and look down at me haha

I can now see from Blackwood.. SE Wales Valley.... Lightning in my North East.. from the cell near Hereford, and lightning in my ESE from Bristols storm

Lets hope we get a good light show! dogs have been barking up here, and i'm sure I can hear thunder occasionally to, and im 20miles further North than you !

Well, things seem to go bang when they cross the Bristol Channel So yes certainly.. and the Welsh mountains probably torment the storms haha. I could see distant lightning last night over the mountains towards the Welsh/English border

Plenty of very heavy/torrential downpours heading toward Bristol.. if they keep on intensifying it may be your lucky night.. Bristolians !

Heavy shower develop much further South and West by Salisbury! It is happening people!

Wouldn't worry about that, ~ Looks like next week is going to be very hot, muggy and stormy to!

could be some storms ready to hit Plymouth very shortly. They are growing out of France.. and surviving! Question is, will they feed off our Southern coast ?

some storms firing up in the channel to, ~ Although most are head in an NEward direction.. there are some heading NW if you look at the far West of France. I can only guess these will continue to develop and hit the British Southern coast in about 60-80 minutes.
