  1. Thanks Steve, hopefully both temp and dp drop as the radar is looking quite good for some over here for a while this evening to see a bit of snow. Next week and beyond looks interesting, looking forward to your thought on it in mod thread
  2. Dew points must be slightly high? Air temp here is at 0c at the minute, dropped early this evening so should be icy tomorrow am. Edit:- yup
  3. 138hrs versus yesterday’s chart at 162hrs Can we count down into 48hr period, hopefully so
  4. Tuesday still looking good folks 132hrs versus 156hrs yesterday
  5. Tues onwards looking potential good, be an interesting 18z Bob, will also be interesting to see what the updated euro4 has to say about Thursday of this week, some could see winter showers
  6. GFS gives a 48hr period from Tuesday with snow chances right across the country, still a possibility and if it deliveries it may receive more credit than it’s been given lately
  7. Thursday, 2 days away, not going to being the country to a standstill, but nice to see for some all the same.
  8. Still some possibilities to get a bit of snow within the next 7 days The GFS has been slated quite a bit in the MOD thread but has any model done well? MetO don’t even have a clue at the minute IMO the gfs has modelled nearer term prospects quite well
  9. More ‘pinks’ appearing over the past 24 hrs Tim, should keep a few happy. I’m going to order one of these for next winter, no rollercoaster ride for me
  10. Hopefully we can increase the pinks for Wednesday and count down to t0. Radars and lampposts in full view. next week does look interesting but fearing come the end of this week there will still be a lot of talk of day 10, fingers crossed not, would love a snow day
  11. Could we be on the cusp of something special? With NW SE sliders being discussed, surely we should do well, especially up around the north coast. It seems like an age ago watching the radar for what was incoming
  12. Any precipitation to accompany it? We all want snow, cold just won’t cut it
  13. For quite a few weeks charts like the below haven’t even been showing, to have them now showing in a time period when the more experienced members are alluding to should give us increased confidence that we ‘may’ see what we want on the ground in the next few weeks. Should we be having the same discussion over and over come end of March, then maybe this year was not mean’t to be
  14. What a day, imagine all the rain was snow Looks like i’m going to be in the digger tomorrow, couple of sheugh’s need cleared, water built up big time, fields are flooded Not many comments in the MOD thread today, hopefully come to life again middle of the week when good charts showing again
  15. Pity we’re on the warm side of the front due over the weekend, some snow would make it a bit more festive with a week of work to go before the holidays
  16. This weekend looking a bit more long winded than first thought, the Atlantic seems to be being held back allowing the colder air to progress westwards further? Possibility of some here getting some sought after snow?
  17. I think rochey was querying as in previous post you said us out west, but west of uk and Ireland, east of Ireland.
  18. Quite a few have talked about month end and Christmas period for a possible northerly bringing wider scope of snow to the uk and Ireland, hopefully this trend continues and upgrades, will be a rollercoaster as per usual
  19. I’d be happy with this, snow on ground Christmas morning hopefully
  20. A westward shift of 100 miles or so would see a lot of us with hopes up for next weekend, quite a few in mod thread could be in for a massive let down over the next few runs, hopefully not though
  21. 7 degrees in Belfast, something to do with the boilers we run, we get paid to heat the outside air, long story
