  1. Do we want the blues to push west to our shores?
  2. Could this massive low reach our shores? I assume we want it to move north?
  3. When’s the northerly due boofer? Some have sledges polished
  4. I take interest in the mod thread every year until about this stage when dreams get shattered for many 6 days into winter and the whole thing turns into a bit of a points scoring excerise and ‘I told you so’s’. Was looking forward to the storm tomorrow which looked quite potent early in the week, hopefully we can get a bit of the white stuff in the run up to Xmas to make it feel a bit more festive.
  5. Yellow wind warning now removed for tomorrow, a lot to disappointment in the MOD thread this morning
  6. In the near term, fridays system seems less potent then previously modelled with NI seemely escaping the worst of the winds as it’s modelled further north
  7. Looked deep on Monday then yesterday looked to be fizzling out, picking up potency again
  8. Before the cold we have this feature passing through, hopefully the last for a good while, it’s potency has changed quite a bit on the last few model runs, MO yellow warning in place since yesterday
  9. Changes again this morning guys and only 2 days out, north coast taking the brunt
  10. Friday looking stormy, hopefully last one for a while with possible colder / cold conditions projected for start of week 2, fingers crossed anyway
  11. Hopefully a bit of snow makes an appearance before Christmas, Christmas Day would be mega. I had to defrost the car this morning, this week looking wet and windy with slightly warmer temps as a couple of lows passing through.
  12. A dog with no tail has nothing to chase, hopefully we can catch the tail
  13. FI stuff, but as long as charts like this keep showing I will be an avid follower, a very amateurish one, of this forum for the prospects of winter to come
  14. Some will never learn at all, they would be beat to review charts every 3 days for their own sanity. Things still looking positive for the further at present, it will be a rollercoaster of emotions until such times as snow on the ground and cold locked in. Exciting times for a coldie. We’ve experienced a fantistic summer, here’s hoping winter produces something memorable
  15. A shift north by 100 miles would keep those in the south happy
  16. Monday 26th, date for diary, snow ball fight, location tbc but Ireland somewhere, raise hands, who’s in?
  17. No Monday blues if this occured, going to be an interesting winter ahead. Love viewing the precipitation type charts
  18. I’d leave it until the start of next week Pom before looking, in the mean time stock up on logs and get the snow shovel polished
