  1. Sleet showers on and off all day, still patchy snow cover. Idk how seeing as we only had 1cm covering. At dusk above 130/150m was still pure white. I thought 2.5 days of snow cover earlier in the week so even though it was nice it snowed it was a pile of crap tbh considering expectations and lack of sleep spent lamppost watching
  2. That's FC to end up in East Anglia by morning. Met Eireann give showers to continue overnight with further accumulations
  3. Usually a sign a shower is close in these set ups
  4. Covering of snow outside now. I can't keep up
  5. Malin Head is currently 5C, it was 2C earlier today.
  6. Met eireann Station recording snow at 96% humidity, BALLYHAISE CAVAN http://www.met.ie/latest/reports.asp Also according to that link Castlederg would have a 60% chance of snow And at 6pm Castlederg from Met office is 0.6C 97% humidity so that would be 90% risk
  7. It was supposed to be snow, changing it at the last minute doesn't make it correct in my book ha
  8. Looking at the radar, the areas seeing snow now have sleet/rain following on behind it. High ground will be different of course
  9. 0.8C, -2 Dew, 528 dam line hundreds of miles south and yet its raining lol.
  10. Sisters place 10 miles north of me 70m asl completely white and snowing . Just plain rain with me now and I'm 30m less elevation lol
  11. Yeah same for me. For my location anyway, too wet and still rainy, this was the organised band of "snow" I was waiting for ha. Elevation above 100m around me all white. Lets hope the sleet here turns to snow for others. Huge letdown, wasn't expecting much other than a dusting of 1cm or 2cm tbf
  12. Sleet is more of rain than snow now, soaking out.
  13. Short lived snow showers throughout the day then once its half organised it turns to sleet ha. Its 1c colder now than it was when it was snowing.
  14. Snow has turned to sleet just as it was starting to give a little dusting
  15. I'm low ground, 100% snow with me. Just started to snow again.
  16. Snowing proper in Donegal, heavy big flakes and windy
  17. Did he say mostly rain, or was that for coastal areas only?
  18. Met Eireann Update for Ulster Ulster 12 January 2017- updated at 13:00 Today Bitterly cold today with widespread wintry showers, some heavy and prolonged with the risk of thunder. Snow is likely to accumulate in many areas with significant accumulations of snow expected over the hills this evening. Highest temperatures of just 1 to 3 degrees in a strong and gusty westerly wind which will veer northwesterly this evening and reach gale force at times along the coast. Tonight Cold and windy tonight with widespread wintry showers with further accumulations of snow expected in many areas. There is the continued risk of thunder and lightning. The showers will become increasingly confined to windward coasts later in the night. Icy overnight with lowest temperatures ranging from minus 2 to plus 2 degrees. Strong and gusty north or northwesterly winds will reach gale force at times along the coast.
  19. Yes showers are rapidly disintegrating once they make land fall.
  20. Snow warning for Western half of NI for tomorrow removed. It'll probably snow more in the West tomorrow now
