  1. Slight changes to the track and it could all change. Outlook for Thursday to Saturday: Rain and sleet at first Thursday with snow higher ground. Drier, brighter later Thursday and Friday but still cold. Wet, windy Friday night into Saturday with rain preceded by snow.
  2. Scotland gets a snow warning. Northern England gets an Amber wind warning. Northern Ireland gets a yellow rain warning. Talk About short straw
  3. Well this Easterly is more pathetic that the last Northerly we had. 9pm temps of 3 to 6c across the country. -2 last night.
  4. Anything but normal. Driest, calmest Winter I can remember. Complete opposite to the usual active Atlantic driven weather. Extraordinary Winter for mundane reasons. Met Eireann monthly bulletin- December-Rainfall: drier than normal nearly everywhere,Temperature: mild countrywide. January-Mild and dry everywhere,Rainfall: very dry in places; dry spells in eastern parts,Temperature: mild everywhere; mildest in the West, Northwest and East.
  5. Enough to put a sample in the freezer? haha
  6. Would be nice to see boofer but I'm a bit past scraps of snow at this stage. 3/4+ ice days with snow. Not that much to ask ha
  7. Steve is knowledgeable no denying that but he's always ramping. Every time there is a sign of cold he brings up 2009/10 or 63 similarities. I always laugh to myself when I read it because it always ends in tears haha
  8. Model thread pathetic as usual. I don't know why they get so hung up on the far reaches of FI in every run when it changes so much. Some of them may see snow this week they should just enjoy it. Only thing that would make up for the last few years is a Greenland high ha
  9. Island wide wind warning in force today. And from the met office Outlook for Wednesday to Friday: Largely dry and bright with just scattered showers at times, these turning Wintry on Friday. Feeling cold with brisk southeasterly winds. Updated at: 0509 on Mon 6 Feb 2017
  10. From memory the common time to get snow is the end of Feb/start of March from Northerlies. Would rather see something decent in the next 3 weeks as once March comes you need much deeper cold for it to stay. March 2013 always amazes me, it was the very end of March. Always wondered how bad it would have been if we had that set up in Jan.
  11. People will hear what they want to hear
  12. Latest report at 9pm from Met.ie I never seen this before- CASEMENT AERODROME S10 Gust 22 SMOKE HAZE Weather- Smoke Haze? What
  13. Surely this has to be one of the driest Winters on record?
  14. Midges in my back garden this evening. Shows how mild its been.
  15. What's the latest on the possible SSW?
