  1. It started off as snow with me in March 2013. The front pushed a little too east for my location and I was under slightly milder air so turned back to rain. It stalled further east hence the crazy snowfall totals. Was still cold. 4c was max temperature for about 1 week here at end of march . We had a lot of snow showers that march. Would he lethal if we got that set up in the heart of winter
  2. Raining here as well. Snowed before 6pm not since. Quickest window for snow I've seen
  3. Shower started off as rain here 20 minutes ago. Waited for 2 minutes and no change. Just looked out the place is pure white and snowing very heavy. I'm 40m asl donegal
  4. Met office warning when read in full mentions 1-2cm of snow locally below 200m. 2-5cm above. Met Éireann have a rain warning along with their snow warning for 30-50mm of rain. Imagine the snow depth on the mountains after that
  5. IMO they should a yellow warning out just to cover themselves but they're probably reluctant to until tomorrow but their weather forecasts have shown snow for a while now so it's strange. Main bbc FC mentioned snow for NI earlier.
  6. Snow warning issued by Met Éireann I thought they'd wait until tomorrow so they must have a little more confidence this evening as it seems to be a close call. Just to cover themselves. 3cm isn't much considering the intensity of the showers FC so imagine it will be much more for any areas that get snow from the get go
  7. Still snow lying since Thursday. Surprised as we only had about an inch here, because it was so wet on Thursday and majority of our snow fell before 10pm. Took a drive up to higher ground this morning. Got up to 210m and there was about 5 or 6 inches.
  8. It turned a bit sleety before it cleared and it's -2
  9. That's a beefy band at the outer hebrides
  10. Ian Ferguson on twitter"Ultimately we look set for less cold/milder territory through December. With signals for any blocking waned, the (tentative!) expectation is for flow to end-up between NW to SW'ly by mid/rest of Dec & a *possible* rtn later to blocked patterns early Jan, but v uncertain for now." Personally I don't read too much in to the long term, although if we were to get Northern Blocking, I'd like for it to happen in January.
  11. Just saw the BBC NI weather. -10 for some places tonight. Sleet and snow showers for Western and Northern parts. Met office yellow warning of snow issued too. 2-5cm possible
  12. The faintest of hope will keep me up another couple of hours to see ha
  13. Best forecast is the lamppost tonight haha
  14. Shower forming and pepping up off the North Coast. Might be some snow in the next hour or 2 for lucky ones
  15. UKMET-G 6AM Maybe a slight chance we might get something up here
  16. There's a Yellow snow warning for Dublin
  17. GEM gives a chance of snow hitting the south of Ulster
  18. When do euro4 and the rest of the short term models update? Which is seen as the most accurate
  19. It's always the way when we get storms or snow more or less. Come Sunday it will be feast or famine. Lots of happy people and probably more pist off people haha. Will be a bitter pill to swallow if I miss out by 30 40 miles
  20. Well it's further south again on the latest GFS. And yeah would be more than 8cm but they won't want to issue a red warning until the very end. The criteria for a red snow warning isnt that extreme. Anyway hope icon is right lol. Is icon a rubbish model?
  21. In other news f00k is automatically changed to golly gosh lol
