  1. Please stop, it ruins it for everyone. I've already raised these claims with moderators.
  2. What a lovely convective sky this evening on my Nest cam live stream: https://video.nest.com/live/Atmiip
  3. Hello everyone! Me and @Evening thunder were going to chase this afternoon but were happy that we didn't turn out in the end! As we've experienced in the past, too much mid level crud limits the development of showers and thunderstorms!
  4. I was wondering if you could change the date/time format of the date and times around the forum e.g. on posts.
  5. Another convective day today but the sky doesn't look as unstable as it did yesterday, I very much doubt I'll be chasing again today, it's quite a long way to drive all the way to North Devon and back for just for an afternoon, so I may just watch from here and see what happens. Good luck everyone! EDIT: @Evening thunder may be able to go up again so may tag along with him and get some footage this time.
  6. Ahh, well I certainly won't be driving all that way again!
  7. If you look at my Nest cam live stream: https://video.nest.com/live/Atmiip, you can see the anvils of the thunderstorms over the otherside of the English Channel!
  8. Hello everyone! Yes, you guessed it! I went to North Devon to do some thunderstorm chasing! I drove into two thunderstorms around Barnstaple which contained several flashes of cloud to cloud lightning, several claps of thunder, marble sized hail and torrential rain! They were the best thunderstorms I had seen since September 2014! What a great start to the 2016 thunderstorm chasing season! I'm so glad I went now, it was brilliant!
  9. The first signs of cells starting to develop over NW Devon are now showing on the rainfall radar!
  10. The sea breeze which we've had for the most of the day has now brought low cloud in off the sea, ruining what could of been a pleasantly warm afternoon here.
  11. Sorry, that's too far I'm sort of looking inside East Devon ideally? EDIT: These cells are developing insanely fast!
  12. Just want a opinion, how close do people think any developments will be to me as I can only ideally go inland about 20 miles if that if I'm quick later on or would I have to go all the way towards Exmoor?
  13. Now, this is when I need to have free time this afternoon to chase!
  14. Thunderstorm now north of Bath! We have ignition everyone! EDIT: Looks like the activity has died. Maybe this will be a day of popcorn thunderstorms?
  15. Lots of Altocumulus Castellanus cloud has passed over here this morning with just Altocumulus cloud at the moment, was sort of surprised at how much instability there was even here this morning.
  16. First shower of the day has formed just west of Bath, I think most showers will develop more NE of here towards Somerset and Bristol.
  17. Is there any chance anything will be imported? I doubt I'll be able to do any storm chasing today.
  18. You can see Altocumulus Castellanus cloud on my Nest cam live stream here: https://video.nest.com/live/Atmiip. I'm gutted that I won't be available until late afternoon here. However, I might be able to get to something if I'm lucky though especially if anything occurs locally!
  19. A very unstable sky here this morning, it's a shame I'm too far south. Good luck to anyone inland today!
  20. There's some lovely thunderstorms over on the continent, if only the English Channel was land, then we'd have some great thunderstorms here. LOL. Tomorrow is looking good for areas north of me, but unfortunately I can't chase. Thursday Night, Friday, Saturday and Monday look very convective for my area. Something to watch.
  21. Lots of Cumulus clouds are now starting to turn into Towering Cumulus clouds here. There could be well be some localised torrential downpours today with hail and thunder. I'll be in Exeter this afternoon so hopefully something forms there, I have a better chance than here as a sea breeze is starting to form.
  22. Yesterday was a very windy day with frequent gale force wind gusts at times here. High Wind Gust Yesterday: 42 mph at 17:00 High Average Wind Speed Yesterday: 22 mph at 20:23 Wind Run Yesterday: 302.1 miles.
