But it is weird how spaced out only a few hours sleep makes you feel isn’t it? Apparently it causes irreversible damage to our brains as well, but I only found that out a few months ago. Ooops -

For the south coast are we supposedly seeing something during the wee hours? I saw a forecast earlier which mentioned thunderstorms for parts of Surrey at 12am - but that’s in two hours

Once again tomo I’ll be up at the Shard - so should we find ourselves in a storm I think there is a good chance of a direct hit (It was hit on Saturday night so I’ve been told...)

But then it very quickly felt very humid - I must confess I’ve been on an enclosed hot building site al day so my internal thermometer could be playing havoc - although the actual temperature gauge on my cat showed a leap of about 3° earlier in the space of 20 mins Read of that what you will

Humitity and temperature has just shot up i swear it was 19° when I went into sainsburies and now reading 22!

Looks like there is cloud gathering over parts of central Surrey, some of it has that threatening navy blue tint to it - might just be the sun but I think it might lead to some heavy showers

Arg! please stop arguing with ppl I use this forum for a bit of on topic banter and for genuine observations and thoughts on the convective potential of weather systems in the U.K... If you partake and you make wild or unfounded statements expect people to bring you up on it - it’s called debate and it’s how these forums work!

Some cloud breaks coming up for far SE. There’s a chance of some disorganised cells popping up - I think I read somewhere about possible convergence up from south coast to London? Don’t know if that’s now possible

It’s actually good to have a night off worrying about watching nighttime storms after the week we’ve had - though I was up til 12:30am trying to do my work expenses and then overslept a bit this morning

Not really no. Edit: You really should start trying to find forecasts for your area - there are loads of them about. If it’s storms you’re after then head over to Convective Weather’s site: http://www.convectiveweather.co.uk/ Estofex is great too (but covers Europe and won’t give you specific details about Nottinghamshire) Netweather also issues storm forecasts, in fact there are quite a number of outlets run by professionals who do this sort of thing every day! You might not agree with what they are saying (I know I don’t sometimes ) but it’s probably the best place to start than asking ppl in this thread to decipher the daily forecasts for you - not least because then you can come to your own conclusions about potential in your local area which really helps you get a grasp of the complex systems involved in storm generation and the conditions needed to support them. hope IT helps
