Noticing that reading and bucks got nowt too overnight. Makes me feel a tad better but frankly there could not have been more misplaced hype for our area last night. -
Well all I can say is Estofex was wrong yesterday about the level 2 and I can only hope it is wrong again today. Pointless if all the cells keep going over the same track.

On radar looks like the one heading northwards over central France has rotation... Anyone can confirm this? Also looks like it's steering westerly which will be good if it hurries up - I have a 6 hour window in this spot! This ones ours pal - mitts off!

Ah okay now even the rain has stopped. Maybe all the weather will now stop altogether. Oh actually what would be really good is if any storms can wait 5 hours til I head out west later as I have to do then pummel the central south. That want be annoying in the slightest... Stupid pointless weather system.

Sorry but after a day of intense heat and cape values like we saw HOW IS IT POSSIBLE we get just a downpour of rain? How is that possible? Nothing electrical at all. Nothing. How? H o w ? This is an actual joke. I'm sick to the back teeth of the UK weather now - it's not even funny. Just a waste of time. I'm not interested in UK damp squib weather non-events anymore. I've got far more important things I should be doing than chasing rain around in Surrey for the rest of my days. Total waste of time.

Looks like a nasty bunch of cells is brewing south of Cornwall and Dorset and slowly drifting towards land. Maybe a direct hit on the coast in 2 hrs? Looks like it's getting wider too - all kicking off :-D !

What a great start to the day! Lots of exciting developments and good news about prospects for the next few days. Hope everyone gets a good share of the thunder cake too. Just remember to be safe if you're out and about - it's very easy to worry about the lightning or the hail and forget that there are gonna be strong winds too! So watch out for dangerous gusts and stuf blowing off of other stuff.

I'm free now til midday sat - located in sunny and humid Surrey - then sat evening we're in bath / Bristol for (haha) a BBQ... So hoping for storms in the central southern counties thurs Friday night(s) and then for things to progress more westerly for Saturday... There's a chance I can stay in the east Saturday afternoon / night if things get going on the east side. I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO BE! HELLLP! :-D

I use Rain Today for nowcasting. Just type 'rain radar' into google and it's usually the second result titled 'Will it rain today?' Great site - should work on all platforms too
