  1. Can here the rumbles now from the approaching storms to my SE.
  2. Can safely say looknorth forecast from above for today 5pm is a bust, as i alluded to. Pfft! Still distant thunder to my east.
  3. Has been threatening for a couple of hours and finally we see the showers develop inland now... Raining here and just heard a rumble of thunder
  4. Expect further convergence lines to develop across the northeast from now on. Further inland too. Watch this space... *could this be a line developing newcastle-durham-northallerton i see??
  5. Looking at the skies above, don't think it will be long before more thunderstorms develop.
  6. Paul mooney mentioned nothing for the heavy showers and thunderstorms parts of our region are having right now in yesterdays forecast. All the action is pretty much out of the met office warning area too. I give up lol
  7. Just heard first rumble of thunder in Aycliffe... My prediction yesterday for the storms this evening.
  8. Temperatures up to 27.c now, would imagine a few places at 28.c
  9. Could be just as warm/hot tomorrow... Met have Aycliffe higher tomorrow... Although i do take these apps with a pinch of salt.
  10. Expect updated met warnimg today to cover storms that develop later tonight. Then an ember warning for friday evening. Look south tonight (radar watching)
  11. Yes a very warm and humid day tomorrow, poss 28-29 for parts of N Yorkshire. 25-27.c for the rest of the northeast. I think some storms will develop late tomorrow evening and first part of night, then as the main cold front pushes in from the west during Friday this will produce more widespread storms and thundery rain. Heat returns late next week
  12. a rather heavy downpour an hour a go. Grass areas looking alot greener around my area after recent showers over the last week
  13. Another spell of welcomed rain today, had a good few hours here in Aycliffe this afternoon.
  14. That storm last night was a treat, lots of lightning and very close too with loud thunder and intense rainfall. Last a while too. Few more showers next couple of days then back to the heat and dryness.
  15. Yes, sun more hazy today but ironically it has felt warmer today... Long may it continue (we do need some rain though)
  16. Luckly i have escaped to the caravan in ripon again this weekend so managed to miss the cloud rolling in from the east as i left aycliffe. Glorious and sunny down here still but a strong breeze has took edge of temps. Still very nice sitting out on decking though
  17. No mist in aycliffe this morning when i went to work at 6.30... 2 miles into my journey to boro i encounted it though. Luckly it didnt stay around for long, slightly cooler today too. Still a cracking day though.
  18. a wet start to the day here, bit more water for the garden before the heatwave arrives next week
  19. Looks like this is on the table, could be the hottest spell of the summer so far. High pressure dominated, no easterly to spoil it for us this time around.
  20. hoping for some heat to arrive during the last week of June... we miss out this week.
  21. Hopefully get to see a storm before i go to centre parks on monday. Been decent here in aycliffe past few days and warm in sun, a cool down likely next week for most apart from the east coast... just normal june affair.
  22. Bloody typical, the week i decide to go to centre parks in Penrith is the week the east becomes warmer than the west!!!
  23. Some storms with torrential downpours have developed between consett and prudhoe, extending to stanley and chester-le-street. also had some heavy rain here in aycliffe too.
