  1. Cant remember exact date but yeah i remember kilma got buried as well. I remember being home a day or so after and snow was almost level between shrubs in my folks garden, and about a foot or so height between them!
  2. Wonder if any ppn sneak through to the west, would be good to see, but had snow fix already! Remember 2010/11 i was working in edenburg but through here at wkend, i kept missing the falls in edinburg, then missed the one big dump we got in the west, left about a foot in port glasgow. Came to the conclusion it was me that was the snow shield lol.
  3. Bit of snow blowing about here in town centre, which is a miracle in itself, would imagine it'll turn to rain as the day goes on.
  4. Here's a wee vid of it. Yes I think it has been much better winter. Surprisingly when I went down my folks in Inverclyde they seem to be getting even more than here. Usually snow avoids that area like the plague https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/andrew-weather/snow-13-02-2018.mp4
  5. Looked out this morning and it was rainy sleet, now snow and pelting down, and starting to catch as it looks like heavy wet snow.
  6. Seems to have been on & off all night but is really coming down now.Looks to be about 2 inch lying now.
  7. Couple a showers this afternoon, sky looking grey to the West again.
  8. at least I know it's not just me that is seeing it. Happened again there, maybe it's a solar storm too!
  9. Any lightning happening anywhere, my lights keep flicking low and back up?
  10. Was very light flakes falling most of the afternoon, about 10 a minute lol, came on a bit more about 5 ish but was more rainy and some flakes, now just rain!
  11. Snowing here too, not big flakes but quite a good amount swirling round the lamposts, wind is giving a slight blizzard affect. Mate in port glasgow said it'd really heavy; he is quite high up mind.
  12. That's the straightest band of precip I've ever seen, wait till it hits the Clyde snow shield! http://www.raintoday.co.uk/
  13. Wind picked up there and some light snow falling, ground sparkling from light frost.
  14. Sideways heavyish snow now. Good thing is the ground is dry, the road is white already after only a minute. Didn't expect that this morning.
  15. Drip drip here too with snow sliding off various things and cars, snow on drive where car went over is now big puddles under it. Hope it's gone by morning, hate slush, especially on a Monday morning lol.
  16. Light misty type rain here after what looks like quite a decent fall this afternoon, was in Lanarkshire over weekend, quite a depth they have there and hairy driving; was another inch or so fell when I was over there. Almost got stuck getting back here up the final little steep hill!
  17. Risked using m74, then a71 last night to go visiting someone. I've always managed to drive quite well in bad conditions and this was definitely that! Nothing like striking black ice at on m74 @ 60+mph, trick is to not brake or steer as that will cause spin out, just take foot off gas; at one point there was a convoy of trucks and cars doing 20mph and the traction was awful even on less incline bits of road. A truck had jacknifed into barrier, and a guy had spun out 180 into hard shoulder. Still getting idiots flying past like there isn't a problem.
  18. Hate playing the waiting game lol, nothing like that last one, shame it only lasted about half an hour.
  19. Just had probably heavist fall ive seen in years, got out work early, town bedlam, tryin to stay movin in slow moving queue, car slippin on take off
  20. A couple of graupely showers this morning and nothing else, sky is just a bit cloudy.
