  1. Lucky! Still snow starved here in Renfrewshire, pure snow shield here I tells ya!
  2. In lanark just now and distant thunder now getting close, skies getting very dark to south
  3. Almost blizzard like for the last hour there but has become a bit more erratic now. Looking at radar the precip band appears to be spiraling round over the central belt with a blank spot that appears to be moving over us now, looks like more behind it, hopefully not rain!
  4. Snowing here and has been since about 3 ish. I got woke up by what sounded like light hail on the windows. I don't usually get precip hitting my side as northish facing. Looked out and there was a dusting this morning, now there is about maybe an inch and it's still coming down, not big flakes but reasonably heavy. Hope we get another blast before the precip goes.
  5. Doesn't feel like in any way there is going to be snow here either anytime soon. Feels about the same as you temp wise, GLA says 4oC, Yahoo weather says mainly rain all tomorrow and next day, although YW is usually wildly inaccurate.
  6. Was sleety a couple of hours ago, now back to muck drizzle here.
  7. From looking at the rain radar - and outside - we got sod all from that northerly blast. Oh well hope it's the start of something for the coming months or are we going to get 6 weeks of +4 and rain to pay for having had a sprinkling of snow.
  8. Actually, looking at radar for foreseeable tonight looks pish for here, showers seem to be sweeping in over N Ireland and in over Central Scotland boo hoo!
  9. Must of been some of that stuff (you know, don't want to jinx it lol) falling in last shower as cars have a covering on windies!
  10. Reverse psychology Glaswegianblizzard? You're probably right though it hardly snows in town, better being out the urban heat islands to get snow.
  11. After a fairly quiet night just had a very intense hailstorm and big cracks of thunder here
  12. Had an absolute belter here in Paisley about same time you said
  13. Ok here we go, Around Foxbar in Paisley
  14. Another wall to wall sunshine today, 28oC in office, glad we got air con to turn on in Afternoon, seems like this weather has been around for weeks apart from the wee downpour the other day. Wee bit cooler tonight with a slightly blustery wind from NE with some broken cloud cover. Like to leave window open at night but get woken by chirpy chirpy tweet tweets at 3 in the morning, ear plugs help but then I slept through alarm this morning - doh!
  15. Crack of thunder over loch lomond way, ready to start peein down here.
  16. Ahh follocks it's going to miss here again! That radar just hates me
  17. Just seen a few flashes of lightning behind Argyll hills, probably about 20 miles away judging by timing of very distant rumble I heard after first flash. Strange though as lightning map only shows lightning up towards Mallaig.
  18. Very light flakes last night, woke up to a dusting so must have been on and off overnight. Then about half 7 this morning it started a wee bit heavier. Falling very slow but is now snowing in Paisley too. Judging by radar going to be short lived event.
  19. Looks like Snow only for North/NW this weekend enjoy it whoever is up there. Typical was up there last weekend and nothing, missed snow down my way, now swapped places lol, just realised it's me that's likely the snow shield!
  20. Was a couple of little snow showers last night and was graupel this morning, inevitably leading to rain this afternoon!
  21. No idea what happened yesterday there was a big anvil with wispy tops building from the west and was getting closer and closer, to me it seemed a dead cert as it the sky was black, and it was building over a couple of hours, snow started coming on about half 4 here in Paisley then nothing, just fizzled out? There was a dusting when I got back home in Port, although only when I started gaining height. It looked like big flakes had started falling then stopped after about 5 mins. There was a few short showers till about 9 then it stopped and night was sparkling clear and bitter cold.
  22. Counted 1 lonesome flake and then 3 together passing lampost when out for fag break........yippee it's snowing buggar all but a big orange long cloud in line with south shore of Clyde.
