  1. Clear sky's here...no hint of anything on the radar its all fizzling out as it heads east.

I loved that lamp post video posted a page or two back...what I'd give for that.

Ground temp reading -4.2deg/C,  Air temp 0.8deg/C...everything is in place we just need snaw.

Good old Beeb forecast spot on again...thank Christ I stopped paying my licence.

Hi, no worries, I got them here.  Connects through your WiFi but you can insert Micro SD cards and/or use their storage.  Doorbell camera has an inbuilt camera thats about the only drawback I think.

Our UK range of Outdoor Security CCTV Camera Systems allow you to protect your home and possessions from anywhere in the world, watch footage back in full HD.

Thanks for that...I will check it out.

I took these off our CCTV on Wednesday night, the one on top 7 minutes later than the one on the bottom.  Didn't lie long but was an interesting few minutes - we are in Bellshill.

Your CCTV images are superb, I'am currently looking for a new system would you mind sharing the make and the kit you have installed.

    Thanks...

  4. This looked interesting...until the high pressure moves east.

Then like the flick of a switch...back to mild SW winds.

You would think with all that massive energy stored up in the jet stream it would obliterate the high pressure as it crosses the Atlantic...but no its stubborn..!!!

  5. Two snow events separated by massive area's of high pressure covering the Atlantic keeping the cold miles away from the UK...rinse and repeat a week later but with a small chance of a bit of cooler air over the UK.

I can't remember high pressure being so dominant in winter that nearly the whole of January has been a write off as far as cold is concerned...time is rapidly running out for a sustained cold spell...apparently its all the Polar Vortex fault as its too strong, when it does split it could be March and that's too close to Spring Time warmth appearing.

Sorry about the doom and gloom but this weather is dire.

  6. Yawn...another day of boredom weather wise, the air temp is currently showing 5.4deg/C the ground temp is -2.4deg/C, the Beeb weather is forecasting a frost tonight...what actual winter weather miracles will never cease...I'd like to wake-up tomorrow to a white frost but I think its too dry for that.

Here's a small clip to spread some snow cheer...its a snippet from that wonderful Easterly event in February 21.

When I get my new super fast laptop up and running I'll put up whole day up its quite something to see.

  7. Where's the snaw..???

I've not been interested in the weather one bit so far this winter (or extended Autumn if you like) what dreary mild damp pish we are stuck in...its horrible.

The only pictures I have to share of any white stuff are from late November and early December.

  8. Incredible this projected cold spell...its a shame not much will come of it unless you happen to live high up, if anything does make it down to lower levels it won't last long with the strength of the sun, the temperature is +6.5deg/C there will be no snow here.

2020/21 has to be one of the best winters for a very long time I have managed to capture video of quite a bit of the very heavy snow showers we had a month ago I'am trying to put together a timelapse video of an afternoon's worth of footage...if it works it'll look very good.

  9. I knew right away by the sound it was making that it wasn’t rain being blown against the windows it was wee bits of ice and snow...sure enough the tops of the cars are getting white...

Snow in April...it’s many many years since I’ve seen that, the last time must have been in the 90’s...I was at Knockhill for the bike racing and a whiteout appeared from the north west and wiped out the days racing...I remember it being exceptionally cold that day ( normal Knockhill weather is just cold )
