  1. watching the PPN band off NW Wales, cannot tell track fully or if weakening but could be one for later in Midlands. I will have half an eye on that today
  2. Really frosty here..-1 still and no thaw out. Roofs still white over and a bit foggy. Just had Weather warning for snow and Ice for later and tomorrow.
  3. Band of Rain/sleet or whatever it decides to be heading SWW direction from East coast, maybe on target for Leicester. Might die out before it gets much further in land. Does feel cold out compared to yesterday.
  4. just come back from walking dog and it's classic cold rain out there. The dog (Husky) still has not seen deep snow. This is not right.
  5. No sign of any snow for now my way so back to looking a bit further ahead. Next Friday (120) ah! One can only hope..
  6. Snowing lovely just now but will soon fade. Hopefully more later, greedy now
  7. Met office just issued yellow warning for snow and ice tonight, just in the area Eastern edge of Midlands
  8. Light snow on and off. Looking like more chances later.
  9. Just looked at radar...was not expecting to see that band of Precip! It looks to be slowly heading my way.. nothing here yet. About 1c after a frosty start so might snow?
  10. Hello! Rain here just started, about 1c out there when last checked. Turns colder later I think. All a bit meh this morning..
  11. Happy new year ( he says peering at the radar)
  12. looks more like a streamer now, that's me shown then if it carries on!
  13. watching that band of PPN coming in via CG, it looks like it's being absorbed by Stoke This is what I think I meant earlier, I could not see how any real sign of Cheshire gap activity but this could easily intensify, has done in the past. I would not rule out the odd shower here or there. feels cold out, not even a breeze. edit - just from what I looked through earlier - the amount of PPN seems more than modeled?
  14. Yes, just seen. Oh well. Onwards to the next one
  15. Some of the best Cheshire gap set ups were unexpected (from memory!). You never know. Nowcast and radar watch for now! uodate- Met Office warning suggests snow moving from North to South later possibly overnight. One to watch then!
  16. Looking at both the Euro4 and Arpege the gap never really gets inland, it’s not looking like a classic set up, the ones that deliver for the Midlands. Staying cold though!
  17. INot seeing any Cheshire gap set up to be honest? Might be wrong... Not sure where any further precipitation is coming from, but it’s not there
  18. Big snowflakes again, you can see bands of this on the radar for my location, another two bands to cross. Get in!
  19. Big flakes, proper snow! will post photos if it settles.
  20. I think its heading your way, not moving fast though...good luck!
  21. stopped and then as i type starting again...i dont think this is looking like much. West Midlands on target maybe!
