Well today has been lovely, but unfortunately the Cessna flight was cancelled as the window catch (tut) broke.

Nice start here with some cumulus around. I'm going flying in my mates light aircraft today, so what a beautiful day for it!

No, I think it does show some CC's, but yes, far more CG's are shown.

Had one shower today at around 1535. But mostly just sunny spells.

Well, today was a day with sunny spells and nice, convective cloudscapes from passing heavy showers. I saw a nice anvil to my south-east from a cell that popped up near Haslemere around 1715. Cloudy now, the nights are certainly drawing in!

Yes, I will never forget the July storm last year. The lightning was overhead and the thunder was ground shaking. Also, the frequency was insane, although it did get less frequent as it passed over, the frequency watching it in the distance was every 3-5 seconds. I heard the first rumble at 1:17am, and the last rumble was at 5:40am. Insane!

Rain today, but with some torrential bursts in there. Saw a flash of lightning around 1515, but no thunder heard, so I think it was pretty far away.

Looks like some kind of squall line forming. I think it will miss here, as we are a bit to far west. Wow, cheers.

Big flash over Camberley at around 1515. No thunder heard. Apparently was not seen over ash vale though.

Good one! Looking at BBC graphics, looks like an area of rain with embedded thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon/evening. There is some decent CAPE to back that up and a storm risk of up to 50%, at around 1300-1800. Temperature is a bit of a dissapointment though, so I wouldn't expect a July-style plume. I would say anywhere eastwards from the isle of wight, and southwards from the wash are in with a chance tomorrow afternoon. Thats my first go at a proper sypnosis, so would take that with a sprinkling of salt. Hopefully some of the more experienced forecasters will be able to do it much more accurately and in-depth.

Right - any thoughts on tomorrow anyone? An MCS?
