I am currently situated on the beach between hengistbury head and boscombe. The dark clouds are gathering to my south so I am expecting some rain here soon.
Ok, cheers. I am going to the Bournemouth Air Fest today so hoping for good weather. So, this could be the last chance this year, so good luck folks in the midlands, but I am don't think we will get anything here in New Milton.
The BBC graphics appear to show the storms forming over the channel this afternoon, but everyone on here says they will form over central england. Which one is correct, please?
I am currently in new Milton visiting relatives and today has been horrible. It has been wet pretty much all day with some really heavy spells but tomorrow looks better.
Feels nicer and less humid than of recent days, but it's a shame all the instability's gone. Nice start though, with some Cumulus around, and a little high-level Cirrus around.
A slightly heavier band of rain moving very slowly in, the sky doesn't look very dark. Doesn't feel warm enough for any thunderstorms, so I think these will just be heavy showers.
EDIT: Is heavy drizzle a thing. If it is, we have it now (1523)
I personally think any storm activity will be across kent/east anglia, but then I have little knowledge compared to many of you on here.
Also, no breaks in the cloud here.
I agree with the fact that it could've been so much better yesterday. But we had a few rumbles, so better than some places. Looks like rain incoming this morning.
